That's what the whole thread is about. You CAN let the editor do it for you. Bludragn found out how and I described the procedure in this thread. |

ok for the infernal thingy open the frozen throne editor, and make ur spell. then change the creature summoned to watever, and in the art section is somethin that says infernal, open that. it should come up with a menu with model selection. change it to abilities, then polymorph. easy. i think... |

This is a bit off topic, but I found a cool sheep animation. Use the Polymorph animation under abilities as an attack for the herder. It will look like it tosses the sheep into the air and the sheep falls vertically onto the opponents. |

Wrong, Bludragon described how to edit blizzard and Rain of Fire in editor by adding code to the AbilityData.slk. You dont change starfall though the editor, you change it though theNightElfAbilityFunc.txt. emote_sweat |

theres a way to make starfall drop sheeps WITHOUT triggers! all you have to do is change the model art for the spell theres one of a sheep falling out of the sky TRY IT! (its like polymorph somethin if you look for it not using the custom thingy) |

Well I DO also edit Starfall through the editor. In fact I can edit any buff spell I want in the editor as long as I add it to AbilityData.slk AND (and that's what bludragn did not do) also import the edited AbilityData.slk into the map. |
| 09-06-2003, 05:43 PM | #52 |
but it is a lot easier to edit the {race}abilityfunt.txt file |

Well Im still waiting for the new editor... it sounds really cool. |

And you've decided to accept problems when your map is the second to load, PitzerMike? |
| 09-07-2003, 06:40 PM | #55 |
Well, Panto Effects are not affected by that problem as they don't need metaData.slk. But for those who want to have custom buff Tipps and buff icons I have a self executable MPQ that starts Frozen Throne with the modified MetaData.slk in it so it will always work. |

Just wanted to say the editor is now ready for Download. See this thread: WE Unlimited In the readme is described how to change buff spells... |
| 09-30-2003, 04:46 AM | #57 |
damn, man....that's incredible.... My only question is....if you edit a buff or effect, does that mean every other spell with that same effect is changed? like, lets say you wanted to make starfall with blizzard shards, but still keep the original spell starfall. |
| 09-30-2003, 07:12 PM | #58 |
Hmm... i get the feeling that the data for the origional starfall spell would be affected as well. Its a shame you cant some how icsolate the altered data only to the custom spell...:( |

wow....pls don't revive old threads... This is 22 days since last post...WAY too old. |

There's nothing wrong with bringing up an old thread instead of starting a new one. It shows a willingness to research your question before simply posting a new thread. What would be wrong is if a person brought up an old thread and re-asked the question. |
