Haha - Oh yeah it was so fun. =P

I love the bloodlord Omni slash - Although for the beta test it was his only skill. Go Zoi - Your spells are the most unique i've ever seen. Maybe i've said that a few times already. >.<

Check this idea !
You choose the hero and the name of the spell

Teleports inside a friendly nonhero unit therefor destroying it to feed on it. (Unit explodes and the hero is on the unit's position with a percentage health up)

1st lvl 20% of unit's health is absorbed
2nd lvl 40 %
3nd 70 %

Well , you can change whathever you want.

Lol Iop - Thats a extremely crazy idea. Sounds awesome though. Be like more cinematic version of death pact. Why are people obtaining ideas so easier than me. :bangH:

Hazey - We beta tested like 10 hours ago. Just come back once in a while and see when Zoi sets up preview or maybe he'll pms us to come have preview/beta test. If not - don't worry he has about what? 14 more spells to do. Won't take long... Maybe... >.<

O and BTW AK i played your civilizations map, and it did show some incredible promise... although the whole "straight path" to the other teams base reminded me of the horrible 5-minute map called 3 corridors... yeah you cant change it now but maybe if you had the little side shops be a little island in the middle of the side routes? i dont think youll understand that since i hardly do.. also try to do more things with the missles. I LOVED missle wars/command but i suck at micromanaging and get pwnd real fast maybe more missle variations... also in your tip cycle mention the process of how to nuke and how to get to the point of nuking i only understood after reading all the tooltips on the outpost and all the little quest things in the tab... other than that you might want to change the buttons to skills so they dont look passive when they arent (usually the non-passive button is in upgrades, instead of abilities) its a great map and with a bit of polishing it could just push ol' dota offa the custom games list. =)

3 Corridors? when did it take 5 minutes? i remember about an hour or longer. But anyways - When i play C Wars It always takes more over and hour sometimes 2 hours if the other side is still at it at wanting our lumber supply shipments. >.< The nuclear missile usually ends it when you get to tech age, instead of fighting it out forever... forever....

Of course. I dont see why people have problem with nuke when they can see the message coming mile away. I never get nuke before. I always get bunch of anti air missiles once i see the message with my whole team. That usually stops it until their invincible army marches in and tear down our only last defense agaisnt the might nuke. - but then again... the nuke also kills them which is a good feeling after a hard days work... Lol

I find myself forgetting to upgrade at command post. Yeah there is alot of micro'n to do. You have to handle upgrading at the cp, missile launching, maintaining towers, and maintaining middle (or taking over it if other way around) but it does get your *** thinking. I think i raised a few IQs playing this. 4+4 = 8 >.<

Of course you probably know this from my C wars Thread. Next patch will be strictly due to re-triggering (look i have WE open to do it now =P). It is done to lower the lag even more than before and to maybe reduce the mob spawn. Man i noticed how i fought the spawns a too often. Or I will take someone's advice from the thread (sorry i forgot your name! - maybe it was you hazey haha) and set the interval longer.

- O i better stop typing before Zoi- uses Shiva Passion on me again. (nightmares - ahhhhh)

What i meant by the "5 minute map" thing was it looked like it only took 5 minutes to make :D your map however didnt just the pathing reminded me of it

See how cleans the map looks - I spent hours on just that... I tried to stick a ruler on the monitor once.. which was so funny. Than i completely remodeled it to fit a better something.. (whats word) well I don't know. But anyways - I guess it does look pale and small - but look it has water...mmm and water... (sorry i must be sleepy or something.)

Here are some new ideas I've been tossing around in my mind. Most will be easy to recognize, others are just names, and some will have an explaination.

Swordslash

Dark Promise(name from 1st hero idea thread)

Bone Prison/Bone Wall

D1 style Chain Lightning

D2 Thunderstorm

D1 Stone Curse - This is almost definately getting put in.

Meteor Doom - from an excellent but generally unnoticed PS1 turn based strategy game called Brigandine.

Vandal Scythe - name is cool

Dark Spiral - another cool name

Pandora's Box - Kinda like dark summoning or whatever its' called. Summons a bunch of random demons. Would be an ultimate.

Something based on Aerial Shackles

Flood - just a name

A Storm Bolt + teleport skill, maybe a bit too similar to Illy's Telekill

Dark Revelation - cool name

Relentless Assault - cool name, few ideas here

Stat Drain - Temporarily lowers an enemy hero's stats, and raises yours.

Mark of Death - ??

A skill like cleaving attack, but adds a stun or slow effect

Pickpocket - Ak47's skill idea, would be on a new hero though, or maybe the Razormaid could get it

Nova

Poison Nova - I think I'll put this in somewhere. Maybe new hero, maybe on the Succubus.

Triangle Nova - Impossible to explain, and will be hard to create, but would be cool as hell if I did.

Psionic Storm - who doesn't love this spell?

Irradiate, Spawn Broodlings, Infest Barracks!, Dark Swarm, Plague, Maelstrom, Stasis Field. Many good SC spells to convert.

Lightning Fury - Amazon cattle abuse

Immolation from Hellfire(D1 Exp)

Kamehameha - would be an ultimate.



About terrain... I started mine out with just a dirt field, and started drawing lines with the grass texture, making sure everything was PERFECTLY symetrical. I was a little too anal about this, but I wanted no way for terrain to imbalance the gameplay for either side.

Well in Diablo 2 the Sorceress has a level 1 ability in Lightning

Im not sure wat the name is and im sure you know wat it is.. i was think about maybe u could make that using the chain lightning <target> model? and have some casters spawn and shoot more? or even use forked lightning ????? that would be so sweet each level itll ad 1 or two more casters and go longer and do more dmg?

Pandoras Box would be easy to make if you dont want to make it too flashy... you could use dark summoning and change missle model to the Magic Box\Vault thing... you the the golden box that the wagon model looks based off of? cuz when a unit model is used as a missle it dies when it hits its point so it would be like the box was opened!

Dark Promise - Might go well with someone, but wouldn't that be too similar to Terminus's ultimate?

Bone Prison/Bone Wall - Could be a good idea, they could have some life and armor and maybe some modified version of Spiked Carapence / Shell, or they could just last a very short time and be invulnerable for the duration. Would be nice to prevent escaping heroes, but I've never been able to figure out how to get spells like this to go to the right direction, and how would you tell it when to stop making the walls?

D1 style Chain Lightning - Not sure what D1's CL was like, sorry.

D2 Thunderstorm - Easy, I could whip this up in 2 minutes if you like, a simple Phoenix fire edit, I am thinking, this sounds like a good idea for the Naga Sea Witch.

D1 Stone Curse - Petrifying units? Probably would look better than entangling them or anything else :)

Meteor Doom - All these uncommon games you've played give you a creative edge in all yours spells >.<

Vandal Scythe - I agree about the name, but what about the effect? Generally anything with Scythe in the title is cool... except maybe "Pink Scythe" or "Bunny Scythe."

Dark Spiral - It's been used before, I think that Sage guy had it on his Death Knight for his upcoming AoS map, but I'm not sure.

Pandora's Box - Ah, Archimonde's Dark Portal? Maybe the Lich could use this, possibly. Summong combos with healers tend to work nicely, since they can heal what they summon.

Something based on Aerial Shackles - Careful, a spell like that might be hard to balance.

Flood - Reminds me of Chrono Cross's Deluge spell.

A Storm Bolt + teleport skill, maybe a bit too similar to Illy's Telekill - You might consider changing Illidan's ultimate into a charge and then teleport attack. I am thinking the base ability could target, and it would automatically make him use a modified version of windwalk -via triggers, of course- without the invisibility but the additonal damage whenever he strikes the target of Telekill. Just teleport and then immobilization is not fun :(

Dark Revelation - There are tons of Revelation combos you could use, but yes, it's an appealing title. :)

Relentless Assault - List them!

Stat Drain - Good idea, would be more interesting than the Maiden of Sorrow's health drain.

Mark of Death - No idea.

A skill like cleaving attack, but adds a stun or slow effect - Slow effect sounds nice. Stun effect sounds evil.

Pickpocket - Creative, definately (everything from Ak47 always is!) Extra gold is always a good thing. :)

Nova

Poison Nova - I agree, would definately go better than the Succubus's explosion spell.

Triangle Nova - I'm thinking maybe Matra Magic -FF7- or some sort of Trine-ish looking spell? Hrm... well, whatever it is, I'm sure it will turn out looking great :)

Lol - I swear Lazurus is the best person to get feedbacks from. He is always so detailed and organized. But from that (because we already know that.) I'm going to take a quick break from C Wars - (Already have V.95 done but i won't published. Unless demanded. (just reduced lag a bit - not much changed) and will mess around with custom spells. I feel like i want to make some krazy custom spells for fun. If i find something cool - I'll definitely share with ya.

I don't know if this helps any, but here's me trying to make a picture of how triangle nova would look. I could do this with Impale to make straight lines.

Having your hero killed now subtracts 50 x HeroLevel gold.
Sort of fixed an issue with Frozen Orb not shooting near cliffs. This is due to Carrion Swarm not being able to be targeted to the edge of a cliff. I, in a way, set it to try to target the spell at 3 different distances if it were to fail.
Frozen Orb's shards now fire according to the angle at which you cast the spell. Instead of the rotation always starting at 0 degrees, it now starts at:
(angle from (position of caster) to (point of target)) - 45.00

Also nerfed Frozen Orb's damage to 33/66/100 per bolt. This may need further tweaking.
