i have a question. Stoned stoopid earlier said that all maps would need to be unprotected because essentially wc3c is paying for these maps. Would that mean that all submitted entries become property of wc3c? |

Dudes, you shouldnt offer money, it ruins the fun :( but i think it is a good idea to give out those award gif. things. Though it would be nice to get another 1k. Though some adults get six times as much as that in the SUMMER. (no im not above 18 yrs) Anyways i wont be doing the contest for one- theres no award gif. and two- even though my folks paid over 3k$ yesterday, and over 15k$ in the last month, they still wont accept some cash i could earn. In my opinion, stoned, DONT EFFER MONEY, IT MAKES PEAPLE PARANOID FOR GETTING SOME! Theugh i am not one of those people. Neways, WHO THE HELL THOUGHT OF THE MONEY PRISE IDEA? :nono: |

Ah ok, thats cool. Im not opposed to making a couple of new models, but if it were ALL new models, that could take 2 months in it self. Great idea, looking forward to reading the offcial rules. |

Suggestion: Allow any skins/models to be used. Simply detract from their "originality." All you are doing is trying to create an elitist community, where if you aren't any good at one type of thing you're going to lose, and I really feel that isn't fair. If one map has no custom skins, but has, say, an excellent storyline, great custom spells, and godly terrain, and these features are better than any other map in the contest, how can you possibly call this a legitimate contest? If you're going to include that in the rules, then also include the rule NO WC3CAMPAIGN STAFF as well. I myself am not skilled at skinning. And I was going to enter this contest, but I can't now, since I am using other people's quality skins. The unprotected rule, is, well, extremely silly. Good maps usually die a quick death when released unprotected to the public, due to the fact that newbies slap their names on them and make a bunch of crappy changes that ruin it. Look at DOTA now. It's ruined because of my mistake of releasing an unprotected version, and it can never be recovered. After that debacle, I am NEVER releasing one of my maps unprotected again, especially not a masterpiece like DOTA 2(which i was going to enter into the contest.) |
