When I try to open a map with your editor I get the message : unknown war3map.w3e file version (a number) or bad header. What did I wrong ? |

En: Your may not have a clean install of War3 or another old storm.dll or sfmpqapi.dll is lost somewhere in your windows directories. Try to copy storm.dll from you war3 directory into the W3Z one. That would fix it. ;) |

Um, it may just be me but im gettin tired of all these beta versions. Plz, for now just work on gettin every part working, and bug edit later. Currently ive been using your program to increase the size of maps since the regular editor doenst let you get it above 196x196. The only actual problem i saw with your map is that the camera bounds editor isnt very good (well i dont like it anyway) and if you can, plz make a way for you to move a area of terrian. I was helping a friend make a map, and he wanted to have the area that was there in the first place at the top right, but no matter how hard i tried, it kept winding up in the bottom left. I know it wasnt my error since i did quite a few things to try and fix it. I know that the regular editor can move terrains, but if you try to do it on a bigger map (no matter how good your computer is) it takes hours for it to move the entire terrain, and sometimes it just freezes. And dont make the final version in 3d. If someone wants to see it in 3d, they can open it up in the regular editor. 2d makes it ez on the computer, since it takes alot less. I got pentium 4 with 700 something ram, and its still laggy when i open a map with alot of units on it in the regular editor. I dont know what your current project is, but plz spend some more time on the editor. I mean hey, if zelda open rpg was stopped in the middle of it being made and released with next to no updates, it would suck (not callin the editor sucky.) Just get it out of beta, and i think everyone will be happy. |

Maybe your video card sucks archer. I got 1400 Mhz and 512 megs of sdram. I think i'd actually prefer it as 3d, so much easier to edit and see how it will come out. |

Guest | Yeah, video may be his problem but I doubt it. I think it's just processing speed when pasting. But I've only got a 1000 Mhz Celeron with 640 Mb RAM and I can cut and paste terrain with no problem. Ok, ok, it DOES take a long time but listen: I'm working on a 480x480 map in the standard WE and I've cut and pasted sections nearly 100x100 in size. I'm guessing it took over a minute for the paste to get done, but I had alt-tabbed to another program and wasn't just sitting there. If you're just sitting there waiting for it to paste it seems like a lot longer than it really is. Your "freeze" may just be you not wanting to wait any longer. Give it time. My guess is it's gotta' fill a lotta' arrays with very large pastes. And as far as Zepir's program, he's doing fine. :) Care. |

All of this takes time. Anyway, I think the final version will use 3D. But don't worry, the main display will stay inf 2D! The 3D preview will only come as a plugin sample to help people who want to write plugins for my editor to do so. So you'll be able to choose between 2D only or 2D + 3D preview. About the map resizing and boundaries, I plan new features soon to help you guys using boundaries. |

I thought we all agreed that Zepirs was the resident king of the W3m form. Me I'm just a lowly duke that understands .j file Cookie hes the mighty warlord of the SLK... And Skull well hes the great being that owns this amazing website. |

Guest | Ok I have a serious question I need answered. I have made a map that is 256x256. I need to change the map properties and the campign loading screen. There has to be a way to do this. I changed the map properties in your editor, but the map wouldn't open in warcraft 3. DO you know how?? |

Guest | well, i don't know about the campaign loading screen, but i can change map properties using zepir's editor. I open the map with his editor, change the properties, save the map, and open it in the normal editor. seems to work fine in WC3. |
