hum weird. never happened to me..

uvmapper only uses obj i think so when you save it it makes a mtl file which hold the textures and when you convert to mdx, then i dont thing it finds local mtl files..

When I try to use the converter it says:

Obj an 3dsToMd.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created.

OK

What am I supposed to do in order to get it to work? If I can't get it to work could some one please attach it in a post or give me a link to where I can get it? Or, you could email it to me at [email protected]

SexPistol
I tried this tutorial and followed all the steps exactly(expept on how to make the sword, I made my own) when I imported them into a map I replaced the peasent model with the sword and placed them on the map. When I tested it they were just shadows! What did I do wrong?

I have the same exact problem as SexPistol. My weapons are only shadows too.

thats cuz of the textures. did you remember to convert the tga - blp and when you imported it into the map,dyd you make the path file textures\blp?

I painted my texture in photo shop 7.0, then converted it onto a .blp, put it in the textures folder in the warcraft directory, then I imported it into my map with the path Textures\default, then I imported the model and didn't change the path at all. I closed out world editor, reopened it, and changed the peasent model to the sword and placed a few shadows on the map. I thought that it might just be WE so i tested it, but they were still just shadows in game.

It also does not show up in Warcraft 3 Veiwer.
