Blizzard's Christmas Present = TFT 1.13? Think first!

Well Sa-magic mine works when I restart my comp delete the randomly generated dll and then try burning a cd, but won't work after I play war3.

(I've explained why above).

This is infuriating and I would be overjoyed if blizzard undid this stupidity.

I heard someone allegedly phoned up tech support and they said Blizz will definitely work on something - and that it's Securicom's fault for the messups.

'Allegedly' being a key word here.

Just some graphical proof for those who still don't believe me. The comp Mburbea doesn't have a CD burner installed, and i just did a fresh install of windows before running war3

I found the file on my comp too :/

Luckilly I don't have a CD Burner, so I haven't noticed any problems yet.

Some people have reported system resources being taken up following the patch, might I add.

yes, it does because it has a virtual drive stored in memory that it doesn't fully get rid of...

I'll be on the look-out for any... problems... on my computer. To Blizzard Entertainment Incorporated, I have one thing to say, and that happens to be in the form of my signature. (Coincidental, really)

This is kinda funny... I have a burner and it works fine. I have the patch and I have had no problems or slowdown... If I was still using my family's crappy dell computer though... well, it'd probably just stop working completely again cause it's like that. Fortunately for me, my Alienware has had all of one problem since I got it and that was because Word wasnt installed all the way.

Sucks that you guys are having so many problems. I really feel sorry for you...

OMG, BLIZZARD INSTALLED SOMETHING ONTO MY COMP THAT I THINK IS USING RAM, LYNCH THEM! i have a Burner, LEGAL copies of RoC and TFT and install logs, no such file even exists (and i'm running XP) i also downloaded the 1.13 patch almost as soon as it came out. Personally i think your getting worked up over nothing, a few people had a strange file installed, from what i can gather quite a few of those people didnt have legal copies of RoC and TFT, my friend had this problem and he had an image of RoC cause he lost his CD for awhile, he reinstalled with the proper stuff and lo behold, it worked, no file, no system resources used. If blizzard are installing strange files into computers that help keep out people who dont have legal copies of the game then i'm all for it, if a few people are complaining cause of used system resources, boo hoo. Check the user liscence stuff that it gives you before you install TFT, you might be surprised to discover that installing this file is legal. And now, as my dad would say:

We're aware of the problem and are working on a solution. I'm sorry that I can't really elaborate more - I'm not involved in this particular change.

Pheo, this time their virtual driver interferes with CD/RW and other virtual drives. It didn't do this before so there wasn't much need for concern.

dosnt seem to interfere with me at all, hell it dosnt even exist for me. Dosnt interfere with yoda and it dosnt exist on anyone elses computers that i know in real life, so you can imagine i'm a little skeptical.
