Here is a picture of the helmets and of the weapons of middle age lego.
Think we must skin and model them first before making the units, because some units could require the same equipement.

Guys!!

Eh.

Firstly and most importantly. Unless you're gonna have that 2-by-2 lego-brick as a Unit or a big Doodad. Then it's WAY too high poly. Doing low-poly is Art, you need to be pretty good with 3ds max to be able to do it properly enough. It isn't enough to just put alot of primitives together. As it'll be way too high poly.

If you're gonna use those 2-by-2 lego bricks (or 2-by-4) as building blocks, to fill up something, then you NEED to pull down it's poly-count by tons. It should only be 10 "faces" (5 polys) for the sides and top (no bottom), and at most, 4-7 sides at most for the stuff on top. As the player will NEVER notice the detail on a lego-brick in-game (unless you have it big like i told before).

The 360 poly Lego Char someone posted first is great. That's a good use of faces, and is fair quality too. For Units you should generally not use more than 500, unless it's a very rare model, and you are generally staying low-poly in other stuff.

So, you people have to be much cheaper on your Poly-counts if you're gonna use alot of these bricks like i guess you will.

Anyways, nice mod, good luck.
