iceslushee: it's nothing I've edited... it's always been there... Exodus: I already know all the stuff you said about how she swings when she hits and that, but this time I only created a double axe to see how it would look... It's nothing I'm thinking of keeping... Still I think it would be hard to make the double handed sword from legend of mana with the few vertices her weapon really uses... atleast if it should look somewhat detailed... if you can help here, please do :D Dmonmonk: never seen Ivy or the weapon she uses... think you could post a pic? |

Guest | well Ivy from Soul Calibur uses a Sword/Whip, which would take too many polys and still wouldent work right because ofthe attack animations the sword however shouldn't take too many..... probably less then her current weapon, if you coouldn't make out how the weapon would be weilded heres a crappy picture to help you out (i hate drawing with a mouse...) |

I'll get to that! :D Checked the model, I think it's do-able with my skills :ggani: anyway, I started editing a bit on the archimonde model you described exodus, and I noticed that the archimonde model doesn't have any weapon at all, which means that I will have to get a weapon from another model, no? If so, could you, or any1 else help me by explaining how i do that? (what I've done with it so far is removing his ''crown'', some of the beard he has and made his teeth a bit longer, also I've removed something that I'm not so sure what is supposed to be but it sticks out from the back of his head and goes down along his cloak...) |

do like this... save the model as a archimonde1 and KEEP the original..then export the new model as a MDX. Now convert the MDX (both the original and new) to MDL. then open both with notepad and geo edit acording to arcuives tutorial. (ask me again if you want an easier description of this) save the org MDL and then convert it back to MDX then use whatever MPQ program you have to get it in the war3patch.mpq. NOTE: you must also have the _Portrait.mdx. This one you shouldnt edit though. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you want a custom model you change name on .MDX, _portrait.mdx and .BLP files to whatever you want. (the name of them must be the same length as the old name) Then you add them into the war3patch.mpq and change the model path to your unit in the WE |

Okay, so I've got the model ingame, but that was using the mpq2k... Is it any different than winMpq? Well, here's a pic of my model. His tail still comes out a bit, but I will change that. Also tried to attach an axe, but ingame it didn't attach to his arm, it was just ''there''. Anyone that know how I can attach it right? anyway... here's the pic... |

ok because Phoenix asked ill try (its not really hard) ok you open the two MDL and first select the new model MDL and click CTRL+F and then a small window should pop up. In that window you type "Geoset" and then press enter 3 times only. You should now be at a part where it looks like this: Geoset{ vertices {123,123,123,123} {123,123,123,123} {123,123,123,123} etc (im not really sure but i think it was something like this =), i look it up soon) highlight from the "G" in "Geoset" and continue down untill you reach the { over a "N" in normals make sure you have evrything between this "G" and "N" highlighted then copy all that. Then go to the original MDL and repeat it all over again !!!EXEPT THAT YOU DONT COPY YOU PASTE!!! now go back to the new MDL and continue down til you see another part that looks the same as the last one (hope you know what im saying) then do the same as i have stated above. Do this over and over til there is no more such parts most of this looks like Arcuives tutorial and i apologize if its still hard to undertsnad but thats the best i can do |
