Dont worry Ragnarok, I got it all covered. Items wont need to be duped. The only items you'll get are Dragon Balls (Yes... I've added Shenron into the game, hes HUGE and talks. I'm still debating on the wishes that he will grant for you.), and Sensu Beans.. that is unless I can come up with a few more items.. any ideas? Saving WILL include username, so nobody else will be able to use your save code. I don't know about repick right now.. since items have no need to be duped, I don't know if repick will be enabled or not. As far as loading goes, you can ONLY load your char before you pick, it won't be like FFORPG. Anti-cheat measures will be taken. Duping will be reduced greatly, and I'll probably add in username specific items, like the newer version of FFORPG and VQuest, where once someone picks up an item, if they drop it, they are the only ones that can pick it back up. Brolly will probably be added. I'm still debating on that one. The Brolly move takes place after DBZ, because Goku goes SSJ4 in his battle with Brolly. This is a DBZ map, and WILL include battles ranging from Raditz to Kid Buu, anything afterwards I'm not sure. As far as brolly being a playable character, I really doubt this. If I enable him to be pickable, or any other enemy for that matter, you will have to do something to unlock them. I've already thought about making Fat Buu playable once you unlock him.. but I'm really not sure yet. Right now I'm working on Vegeta's Big Bang attack, but I don't see a function to change the size of the animation for a special effect, so when I try and use flamestrike as the model for a player, and change the scale value, it doesn't even show up.. maybe I need to do a play Units * animation.. but I don't know what animation to make that model play. I'll probably have someone jump in and help me on the cinematics for each of the skills. For example, when Goku begins to cast Spirit Bomb, the camera will go to the front of him, and zoom in so its only him on the screen, then he will put his arms up and energy from everywhere around him will start rising above him, then the screen will zoom out, showing the spirit bomb. Similar effects will be used for other skills.. I'm just not sure what I will do for each spell yet. I'm thinking about releasing a small test map to let users get a glimpse of Goku and what his abilities will be in the first release of the map. For now I'm going to work on Shenron, Milkshape won't let me rescale the size of the skeleton, so I might have to draw it all back up.. which I really hope I don't have to do. I MIGHT add in speech for him, there will probably be a small cinematic during his summoning. Once I get everything worked back out, and him resized I'll post a screenshot. Shenron was initially so large that Goku was only the size of his pupil.. and that was so large when I set the scale value to 0.01 he was still too big to be used in the map, and his model would become distorted. Anyway, I'll get a screenshot of Shenron in-game here very shortly... so yes, dragonballs will be a feature in the map, and they will look EXACTLY like the dragonballs from the show, but don't get your hopes up.. they will be hard to find. |

yeah, me too. For some odd reason its grey instead of green. I dunno what happened, mustve been a problem when converting the files to .blp. But don't worry, I'll have it all fixed when time comes to release it. |

Well.. I got models and skins for all of the Dballs and everything done. IF you want, you can reskin shenron for me, I can send you the skins and let you recolor or edit them. I'm kinda having trouble with his skins.. they are being pretty gay. |

Okay.. there's five of em. If you edit them your gonna have to change the color properties, right now they don't allow green, so if you use photoshop go to Image -> Mode -> RGB Color. If you use something else, it may allow other colors. I guess when I converted the skin files they switched color formats and the green became black, the yellow became red, and the red became yellow. Just search for a picture of Shenlong somewhere if you need more information on his appearance. Oh.. and please remove the fire from the body skin and put in some scaly green texturing. Thanks. |

Haha, sorry about that Andy. I wasn't even thinking when I typed that.. I just happen to ramble on sometimes as you'll notice. Kinda forgot you were good at skinning, icons, models.. the works. Anyway.. make it look good, I know you will. Your gonna get a lot of credit on this project ;). I just hope my terrainer would get back from his vacation. I should have my terrain done by the end of the month, and the map beta testing released shortly after. I'm just pounding out everything I can right now. The modeler for TPOM is helping me fix my goku models. I'm trying to brush up on cinematics and camera effects to use for the abilities and dragon summoning. I'm also writing down all of the features I think the map deserves. |

I figured the problem out.. I was converting the skins wrong. Now they are all okay, you don't need to skin shenron afterall.. and if you already started, sorry. However, I was wondering if you or anyone else knew anything about camera movements or cinematics.. I can't quite figure it out, I might need some help. |

The wishes are pretty hard to do, that being because you know you cant make options that make anyone too powerful and if u can wish for ANYTHING. I got an idea, make it so you can wish to revive brolly, that being a playable character, OR you could make Brolly a last boss, or a special boss that is extremely hard, but drops magical items that raise experince gain rate by like 10%. Items though,,, Make like those guantlets that gokus use that weigh like 30 pounds a piece. thats how he gets tronger fast, then his tunic weighed like 200 pounds and his boots weighed like 150. Those are the kinds of items you could make. But the item Brolly would drop raising exp rate by 10% is a HUGE increase. Thats really special, make Brolly really hard. if hes a boss Also Another wish you can do is maybe traveling somewhere lik dead world, where you can enter the martial arts tournament against pikon and all of the dead guys. OR you could have a wish travel to the King Kai planet and you can buy rare items for a lot of cash. Maybe you could make it so when you die, you die for good that map, but then when you get the d balls you can wish them back... but that sounds kinda gay, Hey if you havent decided on the experience system I got a unique Idea. What if you made it so you hero never really leveled up? But every time he attacks a unit he gains like .03 str and .01 agil and .03 intelligence. Thered be no limit. That fits the DBZ theme. In DBZ theres no limit to power thats why its a pretty cool show, your map should have likemax level 20000 but you can make it so its really hard to get past around like 300. Youd have to make the exp gains by triggers, because when your like 4 levels over the level the unit you killing, you dont gain at all. SO you should make triggers for all the monsters >unit kills a unit >if unit = to buu then add 5000 exp to killing unit other than do nothing. that way you can always gain experience Anyways its truly up to you, im just giving out some ideas. I once heard of that "fly in the air" thing in the "Power of Might MOD" but they had problems doing that cuz of something with "Z..... (height)" and so they needed to do just flatten terrain. I hope HexenLordX can solve the problem. :\ |
