Qualms with WC3Shear

I'm working on a site that should rival wc3sear but won't have the issues (no adverts, extremely clean PHP, and quality moderation (anyone can submit things, but if they don't meet proper standards than they're gone in a day or two) etc, etc.).

The fact is that Darky28's not gonna take away the adverts, although he is trying to moderate it better.

i have to say this myth about a 'perfect dl section' beforce wc3search is just WRONG. the old one was STILL full of crappy edits, and we only had the one mod, dore, who just couldn't cope with the comment abuse (it was worse than rep abuse is now). wc3search isn't perfect, but if you look, darky is going to have it better moderated, and maybe that's more than what we could do?

It was matter of motivation, other people could have tried to fix the system before they threw it out the window. Get the right people in charge of stuff, and things will change.

Its funny no matter what anyone has said inthis "community" about the downloads section nothing ever gets done. You know whats soo funny. Darkys system was supposed to be revolutionary. NO MODERATORS needed. Full self service gas station.
But of course they ended up getting moderators anywayz. Avoiding the origional problem with the old downloads section, which was the only problem besides spamming which could easlly be fixed, and what hapened, they ran into the same brick wall. Just more proof that this downloads system works about as good as a 1st year windows release.

well i didnt had any other site or programs opened, just happened on that site no idea why, i think this could actually be of others spywares like some search bars that automatically research on the topic you last wrote ex: i searched for adaware just before i go on wc3sear.ch, strange enough it was a spyware remover that was using spywares...... so i guess this may be because of a search bar (i understand myself this may sound weird)

Btw darky couldnt do anything else than make some moderators, too much spam and flaming in the dl sections, its horrible, i also never visit the skins section, too much of theses '' Its a joke '' made in paint skin... if its meant to be a joke (like some creators say) its really a bad one... (like Barney) the skin section shouldnt actually accept skins made in paint, its an horrible program for skinning and all the skins made in paint are also horrible because of the program... (no offense)

Not even ALL THREE SKIN AND TEXTURING MODERATERS DO NOT LIKE WC3SEAR.CH! Egg, Mantis and myself. I think Whitehorn should help decide it I mean he is the art director. If he dislikes it too theirs no question we are the people right under the "royal people" I mean all the skining mods and we have no say.

The truth is we are two communities.
WC3C: We are the advanced customizers and the moder community.
WC3S: They are the basic battle.net mappers community.

WC3S is completely different community. No one is teacing them properly. If they started at wc3c they would be better because they must learn. We were all newbs but because of wc3c we learned from the seniors. WC3S is in the process where there are no seniors.

Its like taking a bunch of children and deserting them somewhere and see how they survive. They won't because they have nothing to learn from.

Example: there is no on criting.
One person at wc3search posts a crappy skin.
Another newb who never saw a skins says wow leet.
The person will continue making more and more crap.

a person at wc3c posts a crappy skin.
another senior member will make advice on the skin
the person will learn from their mistakes and make better stuff.

Thats how its basically laid out lol didnt expect to type that much ^_^
