Population

Type- Undead

Mainly an army. They're other classes are made up of slaves or captured races.
They don't need to reproduce since they are like ‘the hound of resurrection', and there are ‘bone knitters' that build each warrior from the remains of dead POW's.

Slaves (they don't last long): do labor work, construction.
General Population: Considered inferior they assure a steady supply of food, weapon by harvesting metals and food (ionno agriculture? ><).

The Army is divided into separate categories.

-Marine Class/Foot Soldier – the backbone of the army.

-Serpent Class – these guys are amphibious units of the army. They come in swarms and
are feared for their ability to capture any vessel.

-MD Class – this is where the bone knitters come in. they act as doctors, medics, and the construction class for the army.

-Siege Class – these guys carry giant swords and can cut through stone and steel like butter. They are slower and less stealthy than the rest but they pack a punch

-Royal Guards – think of the Swiss army. They can survive in almost any condition and they are mostly seen guarding important people.

Race
-Look
These people aren't like your ordinary undead folks. They are well dressed and you can't really tell if they are an undead or not since they can blend in so easily. A majority of them can be seen carrying or wearing camo equipment around with them.

The elite assassin classes and upper social class have a very human look since the knitting on them is very precise and clean, almost invisible unless inspected in a close view. While the brute military force is less camouflaged and the general population.

-Characteristics
they don't talk a lot with others besides themselves

quasi emotionless, they don't mind exterminating an innocent village and slaying children, they are very single minded but are not controlled by a power over them. When they speak they seem to murmor or whisper... no matter the tone (when they yell it seems like a loud whisper that echoes through the battefield chilling the enemy soldiers).

-Pros
unlike other undead races, these guys don't need to swarm their enemy in order to crush them. They are extremely good against more than one enemy and extremely good with stealth. Best with assassination and grand theft.

-Cons
suck with ranged weapons and the rely on others for technology.

They have a non lively personnality that can hinder their ability to blend in a population on a spy mission or assassination attempt.

Culture
Brutal, ruthless, fight only for their kind.

Obeys no one, Fear none, Fight to proove their existence.

Religion(s)
None?

Location
They live in the caves! Or underground of some sort…
That's where they're main grouping place is located.

major hideout is in a mountian that has a bunch of tunnels

Architecture
Caves?

The Alkar'da
(Think of them as a crossover between medieval Mongols, Warcraft 2 orcs and the Beastmaster.)

People
The Alkar'da looks almost as humans, but they are taller and bulkier. They are very stubborn, and not too intelligent. Other people consider them as dumb brutes, understanding nothing but battle. They live mostly on meat, and have small fangs in the front of their mouth (both up and down of it). They rarely have much facial hair, but most of the Alkar got much hair flowing down their backs. There is not such a big difference between the sexes among the Alkar as it is among other people. The men is usually a bit longer, and the women have small breasts. In their daily lives, there is mostly no bigger difference between men and women, except that the women breast feed the smallest children (who haven't grown real tusks yet) in the morning and on the evening. The females also give birth to the children (Duh).

Society
There is no real difference between the soldiers and the civilians either. Since the Alkar lives on the plains, almost everyone of them is hunters and trackers. When the clan chiefs calls to war though, only those who have agreed on serving as his soldiers have to go, but nearly everyone else goes as well, since it is a great prestige to have fought in many battles. On the other hand, it is considered a great disgrace to fall in battle, showing you are weak. Both men and women go to war when the chieftain orders it.
They don't shy away from cannibalism when needed, and it is a common thought among the more civilized people that they drink the blood of the fallen on the battle field. The Alkar'da have heads of great horses, which they live on when they cannot have other meat, but also ride to war as well as to work.
They live in small nomadic tribes, who wander across the steppes daily. Each tribe is ruled by a priest and a warrior. There is 5-7 tribes per clan, and in each clan, there is an Elder and a Clan chief. It has counted to be about 5-6 Clans. It is only men who become elders and chieftains. The chiefs have the ultimate power over a clan, but the elders have to power over the priests. The priests are said to be able contact the spirits of Gods and Demons, and be able to cure men wounded to death, or order the game in the area to come near the huts of the tribe. When the clan chief wishes to attack another clan, he is wise to speak to his Elder first.
There is rarely someone who can do this, but a few times a Clan chief has arisen and all the clans have joined him. At these times, the outside world should tremble in fear, because now, there is no other clan to fight, only the surrounding lands to wage war on. They should be able to capture a large piece of land but as the warrior people they are, there is always someone else who wants to be leader. He can assassin the ruling leader, claiming the power to himself, but when this happens, the clans mostly split up and go back home. This they do since the leader wasn't strong enough, and then his war might have been misplaced.

Religion
There are two major types of beings that the priests prey to. First, it is the Gods; the Gods have the power over nature, of the wind and of the rocks, of the horse and of the wolf pack. The Gods is pleased if the priest obeys them and serves them. They can be pleased by either just burn old and dead trees instead of the young healthy ones, or refuse to hunt an eagle looking to feed her young.
Then, there are the Demons. The Demons are the creators of fire and steel and everything else man made. They are those who speak for war when the Gods speak of peace. To please them, the alkar does all from sacraficing warriors from enemy clans, to build great fires and monuments.
These two breeds of spirit creatures never do anything to the other one, but they stand for the exact opposite, the Gods are patient and speak for symbiosis with all things. The Demons believe that the Alkar'da are the supreme race, and all should be theirs. They also believe that their own particular tribe is the most supreme. They don't hate each other since they both know that the race would be destroyed without both Gods and Demons to lead them. There is a God and a Demon for each member in a tribe, they are there to guide them to balance and wisdom, the guides can only contact the tribesman through a Priest, even if they can enter the sub
It is rare with craftsmen like blacksmiths, this because of two reasons. Firstly, it is not much tools and hardware on the plains and this must be bought from border villages and trade posts, which not many of the Alkar enters willingly. Secondly, since the people of the steppes live nomadic lives, the blacksmith has to stay behind when the tribe leaves. That or leave the smithy to the elements of nature. It's often priests who learn to be blacksmiths since the Demons can teach him how to make weapons and tools much faster than any man.

Environment
The condition that the Alkar'da lives in is very hard. On the winters, the snow can falls waist high in some cases, and on the summer, you have to move slowly if you don't want to pass out in thirst. There is not much vegetation in the area, only rough grass and small shrubs and bushes. Apart from the great horses of the natives, there is wolves and small groups of S'drett. S'drett is a large deer like creature that in the summer moves north, but comes down from the extreme climates that forms on winters. Both of these creatures are hunted frequently by the Alkar. To resist these cold climates, the populace live in large tents of pelts and mud. They sleep many in large tents to keep the cold out, both winter and summer.

Okay . . . could you take a second and organize that as per Saboera's template? I got most of it, but some parts are a little fuzzy. (Not much difference between men and women? Do the women have small breats?)

Anyway, adding to the list.

Is that a work-in-progress name, Shadow Fury?

Saboera, I think we need some sort of placeholder for the magic part of the template, at least until the system of magic is worked out. How about this?

ADVANCES
Arcane Magic - The prevalance of and attitude towards arcane magic.
Divine Magic - The prevalance of and attitude towards divine magic. (NOTE: In some cultures, arcane and divine magic may be melded together)
Psionism - The prevalance of and attitude towards psionism.
Technology - The prevalance of and attitude towards technology.

Sound like an idea?

oy... maybe i wont make another race and work with the creator of a existing one and maybe try to talk to him in making a few small changes.

Hmm maybe we should put a deadline to all race concept ideas so then we can close the thread and make a new one with all the current races so that people can start forming race teams.

Gunm is hot. Dont we all like girls that can slice our ass? o.o

It would be more interesting that way, but wouldn't that also make it more difficult to figure out what happens when mages from different nations fight?

Perhaps Saboera (and whoever he chooses to help) can decide the main rules, and each race can have its particulars?

I agree. Its just interesting. And if the entire world used one system...it would make...my race kind of useles...sicne they spend thier time inventing and cataloguing everything...i am making an actual language for them....slowly....
Will post some ROUGH sketches later.
