You could remove the flag with Milkshape+Daishi's txtmdxeditor. Quite easy job to do. New splash and blademaster looks good, but the blood dripping from the vamp's mouth in the splash just doesn't look right/too good... o_- |

Guest | I can remove the flag for you, (model wise or mdx wise, anyway, basically the same size anyways so),is easy in a snippit if you want can edit the model differently, all up o you =) the skin and icons looks sweet, cant wait till its released nosferatu is the old latin name (or some language name) of vampire. |

Guest | Or you could just alpha out the flag in photoshop or Paintshop Pro. |

Guest | a small file, its the blademaster model without the flag, easily done (oh and ears are two sided now =P) anyways, the texture skin it uses is textures\vamphunter.blp |

cooanubi2: as we've seen in da modeling tutorial (it's on da tuts section here at wc3c site), u can't just alpha channel it cuz da team color will still show, like a ugly colored square. Drax: u could look at this tut, cuz it's just hex editing, removing da flag team color. Da example is exactly with da bm model. |

Thanks guys. I actually finally got Yobgul's converter working again, but this is definately better with the 2 sided ears. The new Blademaster is actually in 2.31, but still has the flag... the flagless version will be in the next one. Thanks a lot Cookie |

Oh... has anyone found a means to change the maxfiles allowed in a w3m file yet? I've run out of space... I've got room for 2 more files and the modded blademaster is one of them. EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out on my own, and then found it here 10 minutes later. Figures... |

Sorry, lost the thread it was in... But let me give the quick and dirty version.... Use mpq2k to create an archive with your file size, let's say 128 files... that should be sufficient for most. in the MoPaQ script file that you run from the command line: mpq2k.exe s filename.txt Do soemthing like this: (bear in mind you have to inject one file to create the archive, but you cna jsut delete it later with winMPQ.. in this case, DELETEME was the filename of a blank text file) O 128.w3m 128 a DELETEME C Now, copy 128.w3m to the folder where you're going to want the map, giving it the filename you want. Open the map that you just saved from the World Editor and copy all the files from your map into the new archive. Then, inject all of the files you need to store in that archive. Open both files (the original map and your new archive) in a Hex Editor. I use Hex Workshop. Copy the First 512 bytes from the archive saved from the World Editor (all the data before the letters MPQ), and paste/insert it before the letters MPQ in the new archive. It's that 512 byte header that WarCraft III needs in order to recognize the map. Save the new archive and you're done. |

Is it just me or is FMVH somehow unbalanced?? I remember playing one game of it, expecting it to be an upped version of the original Vampire Hunters (Which was my fave map at the time) and seeing that it was completely different, I tried it out with a fairly opened mind. I liked how the vampires were different and each had a different aspect in mind (Like the abom being super tough, th wisp being fast). However it also seemed like we (Hunters) could never kill a vamp... We tried triple teaming the abom but it was too tough, as well as higher lvl!! We didn't seem to lvl fast enough off those ghouls and even when we did, the vamps were still too tough. Hell, I was using the demon hunter (Daywalker? Something likethat) who has both Unholy Aura AND Windwalk, and using both to increase foot speed I could STILL NEVER CATCH UP WITH THAT WISP!!! I'm not sure which version it was but that game I played it seemed like the vamps were way too powerful. I made a few base defender units but they seemed to get owned by high lvl vamps anyhow... |

Triceron, please read this thread. It addresses everything that you refer to as imbalance. http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...&threadid=8538 Also, keep in mind that it's taken us a few versions to completely balance out the game, and are currently on version 2.31, which we feel is fully balanced. |
