A little something again. This time two pictures are attached: Picture 1: A set of Wood Elven Buildings (yes, Rommel, I'm preparing a pack for you :D). From left to right, top to bottom: - Farm (final form) - Archery Hall (Wood Elven Barracks, final form, skin will be slightly modified) - Forester (possible form, skin will be changed) - Armoury (final form, skin will be changed, Anvil and a few other details will be added) - WoodCutter (final form - there's actually a wood pile in the back of the building, but you can't see it on this screenshot All buildings have polycount under 500. Picture 2: Final form of Thalion's ultimate spell, Face of Anor. Unit will have four unique abilities: Sunburst (blinds units in target area/damages undead), Sunscortch (damages units - double damage to undead), passive Mana Shield (unit will have only a few hit points, but a huge amount of mana, wich makes it vulnerable to spells like Mana Burn) and Solar Nova (if Anor gets killed, it explodes, doing massive damage in target area). Apart from that, Anor has an attack that automatically abolishes magic from target. |

With Wood Elven buildings reaching their final form, here's a little preview set: - Farm (food production, obviously) - Temple (high magic spellcasters training & upgrade center) - Forester (a building that will plant trees all around it) - WoodCutter's Hut (lumber mill) - Archery Hall (barracks) - Archer Tower (defensive structure) - Arcane Shop (well, a shop) More comming up soon. Note: Skins were made by JoWood for Spell Force. Models are mine, but are a close copy of those in Spell Force. |

Added another building to Wood Elves. This will be the "Town Hall". I'm still designing the structure part of it, but the tree is slowly getting its final form. |

Looks good... I Thought of one thing... How will you make the troll voices? Wc3 style jungle voices or Wc2 style Rough voices? |
| 03-16-2004, 06:05 PM | #624 |
Mixed. I intend to make them sound vicious, but scared of... well, let's just say certain other forces :) But the Cave Troll will sound a little bit like Ogre - they share their belly size after all :) Anyway, here's all three forms of the Great Tree. To distinguish the three in the game I intend to make differently coloured Treetops, while team color will be represented by fruit color I have an exam in a couple of days, so I won't be up for a day or two. But I'm working on a number of interesting details that will be up for display soon. |

Well, it seems I could find a few holes in my schedual. Here's a couple of screenies of my newest work for CaQT, from left to right: 1. Adanion, human amongst elves, completed. I don't intend to do any major updates of this model again. 2. "Dalaran" Town Hall, created for both CaQT and HoS. Due to some technical problems I intend to reanimate it. 3. Loremaster, a Wood Elven spellcaster similar to a priest. I don't know, I just wanted a priest with a robe :) |

All that he said (exepet the part with asking for models and stuff). But dont you think its heavy and unnesesery(thats almost right eh?) with that big sword... ^_^ |

Ohh, they are so cool. I'm particularly fond of the priest with the robe. Can't wait for the release of the mod (you'll still be releasing the models, will you ?) However I don't think those wood elven buildings fit the wc3 style. They are too realistic, not enough "cartoon" like (but they would be perfect for a lotr campaign). One last thing : it's hard for me to say so, but DON'T hurry up, every hour you spend on it will make it better. |

aaa: We can negotiate a deal for almost any model I made. However, some were made on request of other people and are not negotiable. You can wait for the release of CaQT, however, when models will be put for public use (this also answers your question, Armel) Frostigt: Big sword, big powers, big punch. Any questions? Oh, btw.: it's unnecessary :) Armel: Skins will get cartoonized, don't worry. As for speed, it would REALLY help, if I'd have another modeler... EDIT: Kathandrion, did you mean this ship here? That's a dragon on her sail. Oh, btw.: Here's a shot of Stromgarde/Caer Darrow Mission Briefing screen. Now I need a map of Zul'Aman and eastern Quel'Thalas. |

No. I saw the ship with the unicorn emblem in a WoW screenshot many months ago. It looked almost identical to the elven destroyers in Warcraft 2. |
