I have made a MilkShape model , (It's in the Model Gallary if anyone wants to take a look)

I have add my bones and binded them to the model.

I then animated the model , and exported it

But when i put it in the game , the animations do not play

Does anybody know why ?

hm first thing that comes in mind ist a mistake in the header

but it would be easier to help if you add some more information
like a ms3d file or the mdl
or at least some pictures an the header

Simply make each on the same sequence leaving about 5-6 frames between each set of walk, attack, death, etc animations. Then when you convert the model and in the header, specify which frames each animation is. There's a special equation to figure out WC3 frames since they are in milliseconds.
I think its (MilkshapeFrame x 1000)/24
Do the start and end frame this way. If you have any more questions PM Ced HE IS THE BOMB W/ MS MODS. THAX AGAIN CED FOR YOUR HELP!!!

It's more of a security measure that one of your animations doesn't SLIGHTLY run into your next one.

@ darkdevil

as far a I can see in the mdl you have only 4 keframes
at 41, 4166, 8333 and 9375 (or 1, 100, 200 and 225 in milkshape)

your sequences are from 0 to 541 and 543 to 650

so the first problem is that you made a keyframe at key 1 (41)

the first frame should remain free

the nextframe (I use the 3rd) should have a keyframe for every bone but without any transformation

than you can begin the animation at the next frame ( I use the 6th)

than make a list of the start and the end framenumber
multiply every framenumber with 41.6666 (or x1000/24)

now you have the start and end frames for your sequences in the mdl

one important thingat the end: evey sequence should start with a keyframe for every bone
cause everytime a bone has no keyframe when the sequence changes wc3 uses the last position of the bone
that can cause some strange animations

if you follow that little tutorial you should see your animations in wc3

Those would be particle emitters, you have to do them manually in an MDL file though, I think there are threads about them in the modelling forum... also please don't attach completely unrelated images to your posts.

Filsta, it'd be great if you could tell me how you managed to import your Cs models into War3, I have had no luck so far (I know how to decompile the HL model then import the SMDs), it'd be great if you could send me one, thanks a lot.
