RAGNAROK ONLINE MAP - The discussion thread

I played RO for about 2 months after P2P before quitting (mostly because of the lack of time to play), but I'd have to say that from the screenshots, your team is doing a great job.

Out of curosity, do you actually impliment quests for class change and stuff?

We will implement quests for job change, however we will not implement quests for extra job skills. (That would add a shitload more of work) And also, I think that getting your job would be one of the funnest parts of the game...we are going to try to make it as close to the game as possible (monster stats, items, etc.) But we'll see how it goes. I would change sth. than it`s more fun.

Every 15minutes all players fight against each other...

1 on 1..the winner against the next winner and so on

you cant make a warcraft3 map where all have to play 1month

I know what I am talking about I am playing Ro on a very very special server and wanted to make a ragnarok map 4months ago.
it`s boring when there isnt nothing special

Every 15minutes a little fight against the others to see how good they got because u dont see ya often in such a big map.So think 2times before saying NO!;)

Dont forget that U can make parties like in real ro so it`s more for acolyte->priest , merchant-> blacksmith because they are supporters and not single fighters.

And u need a aim in every wc3 map if u dont have one its boring...
In real Ro it is to be tha best of all others.
In wc3 u cant realize that so good...because highest level not the best sometimes..

thats why I said that with the fight every 15 minutes

Second off, as I said before, this is not a hero arena...And of course, who would want to be forced to fight eachother every 15 minutes? "I'm trying to do something, dammit! DON'T BLOODY MAKE US FIGHT EACHOTHER!"...So, basically, no offense...But that is the WORST idea I have ever heard...:nono:

if u can tell it me, it would be very nice..
and if u dont have one than it is realy bad because wc3 players dont play maps without an aim..

and why should ragnarok players play wc3 maps they have the real ragnarok.

just make that monsters comes in town with a timer on top that u see when the next special event is...
And there should be a PVP event..if u dont know what it is like in ragnarok ask me^^

Sigh....do you really think I meant this map to be for people that ALREADY HAVE RO? A shitload of more people play WC3 than any other game online, so I just thought I would bring them the elements of RO. And no, I wont make a PK because there would be assholes.

Meh, one last little thing...How exactly will you be able to implement more then 6 inventory slots? Will it be just another "Wait and see" kind of things, or would you be willing to spill the beans a tad early? :gsmile: And I guess that is about it, as far as questions go...Hehe, got this screenie from RO...Dysfunctional Online Wedding=Big fun...

We are probably going to do the legacies, have an invisible unit thats name is "backpack" or something, and it will have an extra 6 slots for you ...but that might add toughness to the password system, so Im not sure...

And SS3, if you skin, there is a lot for you to do. If you don't then just wait until theres something for you to do. Thanks for the feedback.
