As a finale, that ain't so bad. The response of the human world, upon discovery of the Gargoyles, is fear and paranoia, fueled by the inciting words of one of the Hunters, who founds an anti-gargoyle secret society known as the Quarrymen. Basically, I used the Quarrymen as a penalty for being too careless about protecting your secrecy -- if your infamy reaches a certain threshold, the Quarrymen are formed, and begin hunting you, making completing the game VERY difficult. I like the idea of a giant robot fight, but I've already got two major boss fights against giant units (the Cyberbiotics Airship and Oberon); I'd like to mix it up a little bit - RPG maps always rely on the "fight a boss with 10000000 hp" schtick for the finale, and those are always pointless beat fests. The finale I've got planned is a 2 pronged attack - stop Demona while trying to evade the Hunters AND the media AND the police. |

Zanatos did attack a few but they killed themselves, they threw a grenade that killed three and the helicopter just vanished and zanatos just stopped fighting. The cinimatics seem too quick and so is the speech maybe you should increase the speech time and slow down the pace of the cinimatics a little, also a few fade filters and instant move triggers would be perfect to fix some of the cinimatics that are having trouble such as when cathrine runs off, and in my case runs into the captain of the guard and takes him with her :bgrun: it might make it easier, but thats only my opinion good luck with the map ill test more later for you. |

for each gargoyle there could be a quest when they split up all killed little mini bosses and then met back again and killed a main boss (air boss) and u could think of the rest |

Alrighty, here it is, with most of the bugs reported fixed. Known problems: * Cinematics goofiness (Demona doesn't show up, Princess Catherine does something weird) -- I'll hammer these out, so don't spend too much time reporting these. * Spammy "Out of range!" and "Infamy +1" warnings. Ditto, I'm in the process of fixing these. What to expect: * Working 994 AD section (if you vote for it) * Functional 1999 AD section: Some plots run randomly based on the # of crime events, some run after a fixed number of days. You should expect a fixed event at days 3 and 7 after Awakenings completes (i.e., the opening scenario comes to a halt. Crime events will start triggering after Awakenings ends, so keep on playing until you get to see the events. * Debug mode: Puts you at the end of Awakenings, in case you want to run around, fighting crime. Not all of the map is populated yet. While playing, please consider how adding 1/3 more map space would affect the game. If you find yourself going over the same territory repeatedly, then I'll be pleased to add more, otherwise, I'll close down the east side of Manhattan. Okdoke. Off she goes. |

I'm pleased people are downloading the map -- what are your thoughts so far? Anything work less well than advertised? |

@Biflspud is there any way you could give me your models/skins for the modern buidlings? i would love to have those for my map pppllllzzz. |

And here I was, about to give up hope that there'd be any response. Sure, no problem on the building skins, but they're not my building model. Let me ask permission to distribute the building model first. In order to save space, I gave the building 4 different looking skins; the effect is poor if you see it from multiple sides, but since the camera only shows the south facing side of the model, I rotated the same model to make it look like different buildings. It works well enough for my purposes. So... thoughts on the map? |

Ok, here's two more suggestions, just on the terrain...I think in the 994 sequence you need to improve on it, it was really, and I hate to say it, unimaginative, I think it needs more bushes or detail added, things like that can make or break a map. And while on the subject of terrain, the 1994 terrain is fine because it's supposed to be dull and repetitive since it's a city, but the tiles don't really fit with the timeperiod. I don't think adding your own would terrible hurt the filesize since it's fairly large already. You can keep the stones for the castle of course, but some really obscure tile, like white marble, could be used for the street paths and the roads themselves. Just play around with photoshop to make some more fitting tiles? Just a few suggestions I thought up a minute ago. Apart from that the map certainly has the foundations for a great game, just needs some fine tuning. |

I didn't do too much with the trees in 994 because you only really pass them once - you're right, of course; it's just clumps of forest sprayed down. I'll do what I can to make it more a realistic forest. I agree with the tileset suggestion, but the only one that I'm truly unhappy with are the burgundy tiles I used for the road - I can try to retool that to look more like asphault, though. Obviously, my goal for the city was to use what few available modern doodads and tiles that were available as creatively as possible -- but a few more additions wouldn't hurt. I'll see what I can't do about the forest today; I'm intending on getting City of Stone implemented today as well, and try to get all of the quests implemented in the next week or two. Thanks for the feedback, both of you! |

So is it ok for you to distribute the models/skins of the buildings? |

That is one long cinematic... |
