Jealous? Ha! I've never been one to be jealous of thieves. I despise thieves. Especially ones who won't admit their obvious guilt. Anyway, you're very sloppy with your files... deleting your working copies. Something I never do. You should always back up your work, especially if you put so many pain staking hours. Spending hours zoomed in on a skin, drawing hair after excrutiating hair. Personally, I wouldn't have deleted the high res copy. Even if it doesn't load in game, you'd probably want it to work off of later. Then again, I'm smart. Don't worry though, friend. I don't hate you as much as you hate me. |

let me abruptly bash some noob ass of WH and JD. Guys, thats incredibly lame. Too bad that I have far more experience in 2d graphics than you (not in the skinning category :P ) so I can tell very well, what is CnP and what is not. I occasionally have to zoom to 1600x to see the "lines" left from a cnp job lower than professional. I spent around a year proofing "joke pictures" on the internet for a curious friend. This hardly took a glance to proove it wasn't. PS: WH and JD, dont bother posting unless its saying "Sansui, IM SORRY!" GG KK THX #GTFO, Ignorance wont be toletated. *edit* forgot to put in on the pic that the robe pattern is " N.r (. floats and is bigger) *edit2* What it looks like he did was stayed true to the concept, and sampled colors from the concept (using the dropper) something every skinner with skill should do. *edit3* sorry, i r dumb for editing 3 times... I deleted my 2048x skin i made, too... all it does is wastes 16.6mb, takes a long time to convert, and crashes the viewer and wc3 a lot. best not accidentally convert it and put it in a map... *edit4* just noticed, the spikes on MW's swords (aswell as most of the handle metals) use plates and san's dont. |

Err, ouch John if I didn't love you so much for your work you do with Realm Design I might tell you that your being a pompous ass right now. Maybe my eyes are deceptive, but I can clearly see differences in both the shape and the color of the tattoos on the characters head. Yeah they're similar, but still different. The chainmail is copied, so what? Chainmail is just a repeating texture, and its such an insignificant part of his skin. The hair sucks, make it yourself. Are we done yet? | | | | \ / Edit: Try to write something atleast partially coherent Ravan. Spam is not generally appreciated. |

OWNED! |

Here is my proof on the chain. Sorry for the delay, as i accidentally left it out. This was a bit more complicated, but more assured. PS, wh, dont even make me proove some CnP's from your skins. *edit* I have the odd feeling someones gonna bash me on the "to the pixel" part, so let me say what i did: I changed San's to the same porportions I lined up the centers (san's ontop using 20% opacity) I took samples with the dropper |

Hey, Antihero! Pompous ass? Harsh. Anyway, I don't believe he CnP'd all of it, just some of it. Kurama's logic appears flawed, but I don't have a CnP Detector's Certificate hanging on my wall like he does, so who am I to judge? Also, he doesn't have the original MW textures in front of him as I do. Just looking at the Daedric sword, not the markings, but the actual bolts in the lower area, they are exactly the same on his skin. Must be a co-in-ki-dink. Look at it yourself and consider it. Like I said before, if the original high-res skin is offered to me, I would gladly look at it and confirm what has been said. But the case looks to that that stage of the skin was deleted for no good reason. Being an artist myself, I would find it very frustrating to have my material stolen by someone who didn't give me credit. But, Now, when I say I'm an artist, I mean that very broadly... since I do graphic work, web design, I'm a lead guitarist in a local band, and I believe what I do with triggers sometimes is a work of art :foot: Anyway, I'm just fighting the good fight on behalf of the graphic artists of Bethesda Softworks. In closing, since this is the last I'll be posting here, examine this. ![]() Now, as you can see, I've taken the original MW texture, mirrored it and fit it to his specifications for size. The texture has been changed for sure - that much is obvious. But, in parting, I leave you with this question: Since I simply changed the size of the texture to fit his, and since he made this texture himself and no longer has MW on his computer, how come the texture at the bottom lines up so well when I put my edited version next to his "freehand" version? Good night, gentlemen! Edit: Yes, the chain is quite clearly not. I found that out when comparing them after WH posted the pic. I had never seen the BLP until that point. |

Ok, maybe I was a bit harsh, but I stand by my assessment in your attitude. (still love yah though) The cape does set off my CNP detector as it is beginning to look like an altered texture. I implore you Sansui, if you did cut and paste a large section of this skin from Morrowwind, to confess it now; while you can still walk away with your dignity. |

Yeah, I guess I was a bit pompous... with the "my friend" stuff and all. Anywho, I'll just leave these new ideas of the sword and cape to fester in your brains. |

Good try, but if you look close enough, the details are sharper on yours than san's, and have several flaws in it. The shading on the top and the bottom sections of the top gold (you know, the embossed lines) is different on sansui's aswell as the entire SHAPE of it is different (there are several jagged/abrput edges, prooving he made it with the polygonal lasso tool) Also take reference to the fact that there are no embossed diagonal lines in the upper gold area. The angles of the borders are also, different. Sansui's also lacks diagonal darkenings on the gold, which MW has. Sansui's also lacks the dimension from edge to middle that MW (and your shot at it) has. trust me, its not CnP. Stop trying, you're pathetic. |

You do realize that I have been nothing but civil, and you have been nothing but rude? Please, read my entire post rather than simply looking at the picture, considering I said look at how it lines up - not how the exact pattern goes, since I made mine in about two seconds, and he's had as much time as he humanly could need to produce the latest result. But tell me - why is it so similar? Why is the shape so consistent if he doesn't have the texture on his computer and did that one completely freehand? It is too similar. BTW, about you accusing me of being pathetic - I don't have time for you. Skullpitter will when he wakes up tomorrow though. |

Woulda been nice to know coulda saved some time JD but still u have major flaws they match up because u made them the same sise hell the dont even have the same shadeing. |
| 02-20-2004, 05:59 AM | #72 |
Look at the picture. All I did was use the re-size tool on the bottom texture. Why, if yours is freehand, would they line up so perfectly with the texture exactly in the right spots? Don't believe me that this happened? I provided you with the source textures, line them up yourself and resize. |

and here are the flaws!!! man, I should go this in-depth critting skins o.O Here, i put minimal effort into this, lets see what it does. Go ahead, you cant win on this part. Go ahead, make me waste my time prooving you wrong again and again. Here you go, enjoy. You have to look closely, since i did this in double res. its painfully obvious here though. All i did was enlarge, circle a bit, and put some text in. I like how you tried to fool the public eye by showing it so low-res, since they don't match up at all. I dont remember all my color codes, but white is where it fades off in MW's but not in san's. MW makes their darks darker and their brights brighter. going into more detail, where it is orange, is where MW's has more fuziness. the white is where to fade off the greens and reds were where they were not even closely related The pinks show where MW pulls theirs to the right, but san keeps em centered. The yellow is where MW has a fadeoff Notice that sansui's burns are 1/4 thicker than MW's, but MW's are darker. Also notice how MW's dodges are brighter. Also notice how the patterns vaguely resemble MW's. If you two (John Drake and Whitehorn) knew anything about 2d art, you'd know that whenever you do a skin on a concept, you keep some parts the same... Thats like flaming someone for keeping their pikachu yellow with a lightning tail instead of red with a lolipop tail. I also noticed that MW's darks are barely shades of purple in them, but san's use shades of gray. MW uses red shades, but san uses orange on the burns in the jewels San's darkens don't fade off and die like MW's does. I could go on and on. |
