Themed Skin Week Proposal

I have to agree with Tyrant on this one, I compiled a list of what I thought was most appealing, disagree if you want and/or put a list of what you want to be on :)

Forces of nature: ancient like skins
High tech/sci fi
Witches and wizards
Mutants
Primitive Skins (Tribal/Cavemen :P)
Magma/Brimstone Trolls
Angels and Devils
Tropical Units
Machines
Skin yourself
Religion
Pimp Skins (:D)

Mutatants Sound fun. :>

Religion is a touchy topic in any case... meh...

Although I can't skin, I'd like to help this weekly skin theme thing be prosperous. I can help by thinking up interesting ideas for themes. Here's a small list of some of my suggested themes.
1. Video Games
2. Metal Madness (robot theme, essentially turning units into robot/cybernetic themed versions)
3. Hollywood here we come! (Skins based on movies/tv shows
4. Units that nobody uses (units that few people use when making custom skins such as the Gnoll, Void Walker, and other rarely used units I can't think of)

Alright start up the poll then I think we have enough. Have the poll end sunday morning and everyone post their skins Friday? Then saturday we'll have a winner and a new theme? How are we setting this up.

well uhh i hope something major happens when it starts so i dont miss it lol- a topic in the "gallery" perhaps?

hollywood- shows just generally dont work out

uhm... thats all i can think of that wouldnt be great.

i dunno who said it but i like the idea of doing a "use this model" type of theme- like the faceless ones week or the like.

why dont we skin the crap in jester's thread tired of skinning the same model.

I think it would be best to have 2 threads, one of discussion and one of just posting ur work in so it doesnt end up been like a massive thread u know, and ppl dun have to post their work on friday but the deadline would have to be friday, then the new weeks starts and everyone works on the new theme while theres a poll to see who did the best skin the week b4 :D

I knew sooner or later a thread that I posted would start to go off topic.

I think Egg was pretty insistent that we have the poll in this thread, but it's a bit cluttered of posts (68 or something) so it would probably be better if we had a new thread here, if I post it later would a mod make it a Sticky for me, please?

So, I'm going with Mock by saying that this poll should go on until Sunday morning in which the winner will be announced and you can start skinning straight away and deadline is friday, on saturday the winner will be announced and we can start voting for the next theme.

We will let people post their WIPs or finish products in the gallery, yes?
