Name - Cresavians Type- Demons A sophisticated class of demons. Their homes dwell under the ocean floor, above the burning magma. They have tunnel systems leading up to caves near the shores and forests. Heroes/Kings: Geiga'ar the 1st, a 7,000 year old magma giant, one of the Living Kings worshipped by all, he is the first spawn of the magma giants. In charge of Military Kla'isk the 2nd, the founder of the cresavians, he is supreme ruler but dictates himself second in honor to Geiga'ar. He creates all laws, passes all followers, and is second in strength only to Geiga'ar. Has a younger brother who was banished from the underworld. He has an etherreal wing on his left shoulder. Prescivican the 3rd, the commander of the worker class, his intelligence and psycik powers allow him to control the weaker demons, and allows building of temples in minutes. (null)Mor'kan A'ngl (aka Morbid Angel), was the commander of the stealth troopers, his strength was matched to Kla'isk, his older brother. After a dispute on who would claim the underwould countless millenia ago, he was banished into the aether. The people say he is the archdevil, once released he will finally claim the underworld. He has an etherreal wing on his right shoulder. Kreal'zhan the fallen, a restless spirit entombed withen a statue of stone... Race -Appearences The cresavians are actually not any specific demon race, they allow any stragglers, pow's, undead, demon, basically anyone willing to prove their loyalty into the race. From implings to the great magma giants, some even wear clothes. -Characteristics They live under the ocean and above the magma layer, they eventually evolve scales or their flesh corrodes away and is replaced with molten minerals that act like its part of the body. They build a universal language called "crute", based on simple growls, chirps... etc. Some cresavians have enough intelligence to learn different languages. -Pros Being a diverse race, they are able to counteract almost all stratagem the enemy creates, leaving little room for war-weakness, and also able to spy on different races without them knowing. By bonding their loyalty they have sworn to serve the kings and will obey their every command, allowing proper communication and no 'ethnic difficulties'. Remember these are mostly demons. -Cons Can be spied upon easily, and their homes being a sophisticated net of tunnels, caves, and passage ways, are prone to the danges of tectonic movement, which is why magma giants fill in the gaps before the place is flooded. The cresavians are weak to light, and most are bound to the ethereal world. Culture Rather energetic and peaceful, a war will force them to start 'evolution' all over again, after a few generations they will become even stronger than each before. Religion(s) Nar'tu'lathan - A religion based on the living kings, that the kings were the first born of the cresavians and the saviors of the world. 1 hour is spent paying omage to the kings a day. Location They live in in the crust underneath the ocean and above the magma. Architecture some areas are rich in minerals, which in turn, are made into beautiful temples of worship and housing. |

Umm interesting ideas here guys, i was thinking of something similar to Marco but i wanted to create our subclass that are actually a bunch of spells our civilization use and some pre defenite stuff Divine= obtained by a praying a god, all civilization got their own subclasses, for exemple Marco or Muo wont have Kero magic as a default subclass, to learn Kero Magic for exemple a character must go in the civilization using the subclass an learn it since all the subclass are different from a people to another, basically you can have the same spells as Kero magic but wearing another name like Ghanka magic since Kero magic is obtained by praying a god of my civilization... Spells ex: Creating Fireball, Ice shard, Tornado, Teleportation, Alteration of an item Arcane (different name)= Magical abillity, the user is born with innate abbilities called arcanes, he can develop thoses skills without praying a god... Skills ex: Telepathie, Divination, Telekinesie... thoses are global, thoses power are different from an individual to another Technologies= Subclasses can be create here, it can be global and civilization property unless again an individual learn it from the civilization and teach it Ex: Basics Technologie for exemple Gunpowder can be used by more than 1 civilization, Cutom Gunpowder Technologie combine with mechanics however can be claimed as a civilization property Items= Powerful items creating X effect made with Alchemy or enchanted by a disciple of divine magic Ex: Kerolite wearing a Burning Armor Alchemy= Powerful effect created by an item or innalation/apply from environnement and materials from diverse area Ex: Apply of an healing salve on a wound Divine ex: Kero Magic, Ghanka Magic, Opres Magic Arcane ex: Telepathie, Inner Vision, Divination, Telekinesie Technologie ex: Gunpowder, Machines, Golems (maybe with another name) Items ex: Burning Full Plate, Wand of Curses, Sword of Ice (that arent melting), Weapon coated with poison Alchemy ex: Healing Salve, Mixage of toxines in a bottle, Poison oh yea i will establish co leaders later |

IMO magic is magic, no need to create 'divine' 'tech' 'crap' categories. You want to fly - you use magical enargies to fly. You want to morph someone into piece of shit - you use magical energies for that. You want to throw freball - same. Some spells requres less concentration and some requres more. Priests cast spells, concentrating on prayer, and uses magical enargy. Mages are trained in concentration better so they dont need prayers. Magic can be grouped in classes by a race or kingdom, but if i can throw fireball (whoich would be arcane or something) then why i wouild be unable to cast simple telekinesis? Classes are invention of RPG games like D&D to prevent uber mages creation, and im sick of seein this system used everywhere. Technology is a little different, because gunpowdder would give one race HUGE advantage (even though you woudnt shoot water silo from 60 meters with them) and ability to bould cannons would have great impact on sieges for example. It should be up to race if they will to trade their technology or even how to use it (chinese didnt make guns, europeans did when they acquired same gunpowder technology). |

ok... The Alkar has been polished a little, but should i poost it here or just edit the old post? |
| 09-11-2004, 03:23 PM | #68 |
I'd just edit the old one. And I like divine/arcane magic because it gives the feel that magic comes from different sources. Since that obviously doesn't apply in your realm, Muoteck, go ahead and ignore it. That's also what's nice about each race deciding the particulars. |

muo its actually what we dont want to, if its allowed to have mass uber spells of everything everyone will have thoses uber spell, knowing that ppl exagerate all the time with spells that can kill 10000 ppl, basically the spells need a source of power which here is gods, if you want your own creation of spell then go for it name it as a subclass of Divine magic and make thoses using it pray a god of your choice, thats what i did, anyway that is not the final classes, we can add some To explain more i based the Arcane on presume powers we can have in real life for exemple we all heard of divination, telepathie or even teleknesie, floating in the air while meditation Divine are based on Gods, gods give powers since its actually one of the only reason to pray a god Let me add a new Class that can be Items, Create by a disciple of X god and imbue with powers this item can use the magic sealed in it, from scroll to armor, sword or any other item btw its not forgiven to use multiple classes like DnD anyway the fact here is that the magic system isnt complete and still a very early design so muo just design your stuff you wanna use and i will do sumthing for it Edit: oh and yes updates your threads if you change sumthing, ill get 'B to snipe all the useless stuff soon |

Hmm lets say the race im working on uses Dark Magic: a primitive form of Black Magic consisting of deception (masking bodyparts, appearances) and spells that don't do alot of boom... (plague clouds, curses). What would that go in??? cuz all these class thing is jst sooo confusin... plus! they dont draw their energy from a god since they have no belief in a superior deity. They draw it from their soul spirit... |
