Looks awesome mate!!! Thank you so much!! Well what I did is I started the model from scratch in milkshape, then you can load the *.ms3d file into LithUnwrap, unwrap the skin, than extract it as *.bmp or *.tga and save the model as *.3ds. I then import the model into Gmax add the bones, then use dex's export script, to write it to a *.mdl, then do a few changes where neccessary, convert it to *.mdx than you take the *.tga file convert it to *.blp with wc3 viewer, it automatically adds an alpha layer. Than you can have a look at it in the wc3 viewer and the skin should fit perfectly. At least thats what I did with the altar and it looks perfectly fine, except for the top of course, which just looked right on the UV map, but then... Anyway hope that helps... Ill give you Rep points for the skin!! Also do you maybe want to work on this project with me? You know the cinematic I wrote about, somewhere in the thread here? Are you good at terraining, maybe? Right Thx again! ![]() |

Oxide, I did this model from scratch, hence I integrated the path of the skin when I unwraped it. I think the path for this one is Textures\Altar.blp... Windrunner, thats great, I wish only I had my own thread on here some where, so I could organize it a little... I wrote to the admins, but they havent replied yet. I might open a thread in the cinematic support area soon. For now thx for the skin and I pm you, when I decided on what to do next ![]() |

Windrunner, do you think you could maybe reskin the villagerman model, into some variations? Like old people, young people different Haircolours and so on?! It doesnt really matter what as long as they look different, from the original one, maybe like 7 different ones?! Is that ok? Its mostly recolouring only anyway, except for the Old people maybe and could you maybe change the outfit for one of them? If you've got the time and nerv to it, would be so great! You can take your time as well... I dont need them that desperately. Well thx alot in advance! |

| 11-15-2004, 05:51 PM | #72 |
The homeless guy is a good idea! Maybe some merchants, like the rich guy, but maybe from different parts of the world like africa for example and maybe some woman like old ones, and corresponding ones, for the men you made already? That would be awesome!! Thx a lot |

Hey Windrunner, have you got around doing the other villager skins, because I will need them quite soon. If you dont have time to do them anymore, thats fine, just tell me what is happening so I can do something ;) |
