This is for icbm1987 since he ask. This is my second hand ink drawing (first one was a couple weeks ago). It's been about 7 years since my last hand ink drawing. I believe I posted a while ago I got new pens - if you ask why I didn't have any other hand ink stuff. And since it's a lineart, anyone who want to color it go ahead. Just a reminder, promote the lineart to it's own layer (set to multiply) and create the colors underneath it. If anyone does color this post it in a new thread - call it X Elite, and let anyone post their version. Plus, this going to be used in the long awaited CG tutorials. (Might come out around Christmas time...... in our English class we have to do these process speeches, basicly explain something you know that most wouldn't - All I know is drawing and CG........And drawing would take a lot more effort to do - especially since I'm a lazy drawer I though it be best to teach them how to use PS. Anyways, the work for the speech will also accelerate the tutorial making process and vice versa. Oh, making another thread with all my pics img tagged.....errr..... I'm on a (prepare for very evil word) 56k modem ! Ahhhhhh! It would take me a long time to get all the urls. Then once I got it up it take forever plus many refreshings (guessing at least 10-20 minimal - remember I got 163 pics now), I'd never get it loaded! |

...For me? Why thank you, I love it. That pic looks sooo awesome... but, alas, not food like enough to eat. I *might* try colouring it, since I've given up on the master contest until judging changes are made. Im glad that you are staying Laz... without you, and since rain doesn't post that much, all we would have is Xmettalium, and Candy? icbm1987 I GIVE THE PIC A 5!! |

thats sum badass coloring although i find the blue offtopic... laz can u tell me how u digitally ink and what thingie tool u use cuz pencil sucks and ionno how to make my drawing blue... like u did. Tell me how!!! im using ps7 thanks |

Blue offtopic? What? Do you prefer red, yellow, black, white, purple, orange, green? Don't like it change it (just create a new layer set to hue not to color, then color it the way you want - though white would take more effort and a different approach.) In this case, I hand inked the drawing - but once I leveled it (setting was like 0, .55, 128) I open the image in Adobe Streamline. Select Inked Drawings, and convert. From their you can save it as raster image (if you don't have PS) or just save it as an .ai file and reopen it in photoshop. To change the color of your pencil art in PS: Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation (or Ctrl U), click colorize and move the hue slider (just look at the bottom bar, to see what color shows up) |

HOW do i make my scanned drawing blue right away so i can ink it !!! and what tools do u use to make the digiatlly inked drawing lines look good after? |
| 11-23-2003, 03:46 AM | #791 |
To change the color of your pencil art in PS: Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation (or Ctrl U), click colorize and move the hue slider (just look at the bottom bar, to see what color shows up) Slide the hue bar 'til it is blue! (around 200) Use the pen tool to create vector lines or if you have a steady hand use the brush tool ---- NOT THE PENCIL TOOL!!!!!!! Brush is aliased, the pencil is not. Click and hold the tool icon (pencil) til the sub menu comes up. Select Brush. |

Uhh, Laz... The coloring is awesome and all, but no covenant (the species, not the confederation) has yellow skin that I have seen. And, the blue armor would be nice if you could make it blackish/blue and give the covenant the proper skin tone. icbm1987 |

Remember, this is just Halo inspired. Plus it's their internal flesh thats the yellow-orange color. Halo 1 had it on their external skin as well for the lower class Elites but Halo 2, they have black for their outer skin color but still have the internal orange color. |
