Yoda, make a save-restore hero code system. Then it really would me an MMORPG. Many people wouldn't bother, (but then again most of the people on B.NET are such intelectual retards that they will find the map boring anyway), but to those who would, it would greatly enhance gameplay. The you might actualy be able to reach level 100 and become veritable gods. Also, why not add a way to effectlively stop someone playing (i.e. removing thier character so that if someone is being a stupid dipshit they can be got rid of (remember to still give the person the code for his saved character)! |

Are you going to be able with all the areas and major cities announced so far in WoW? |

is that refering to my suggestion, because I don't see why it would cause a problem P.S. Please pretty please Yoda_24! I really want to be able to save my heros on your awsome map so i can come back to where I finished off in another game! |

I think you should reskin the fel orc warrior to have armor on because he's a warrior or you can make it so that if you have heavier armor your guy gets a new skin to be wearing bigger looking armor and you can have it so that if your guy is wearing leather armor the guy ingame has leather armor. P.S. I am going to be a beta tester, right!:foot: |

We have to remember that Yoda_24 is a human, not a 24 hour working robot (we think, anyway). There are limits. Think about it. If the warrior gets different armour skins, so should every other class, in every other race. Suddenly thats a hell of a lot of skinning and .mdl editing, plus remember that each custom skin must have an edited .mdx imported into the map with it, so the file size would be huge. And I haven't even got onto the trigger work involved with this. I'm not trying to dis you or anything, its a good idea and i used it for my map (but I only had 8 heros, which still made 64 skins). With the amount of heros used in this map, its virtually impossible. |

I too was talking about all the other races. It would look a bit wierd if the Fel Orcs got different skins with their armour but none of the others did. As for dling it from Wc3campaigns.com, thats a really good idea. It might filter out some of the 10 year old retards on B.Net because they don't come here and none of them would wait a while to DL a map off B.Net (they'd just go play a TD). My point is that, would you seriously be able to do all that skinning? I know Yoda_24s a really, really good skinner, but still..... |

Stupid power loss... anyways I was thinking of something: What if there was a seperate map for azeroth, kalimdor, lordaeron, and khaz modan. There will be hero saving regardless of what I do. With 4 different maps, I could have more detail and quests in a small part of the world and you could have much more to explore and do since there would be 4 maps. Then the next time you play, you could play on any of the maps since they would all upload your hero. And a map for northrend too. and another idea: When you enter a region, the creeps that spawn in the region and the number of creeps that spawn are based on your hero's level. That way you couldn't have someone just sit there and kill little level 1 creeps if they are level 20. I like that armor idea. It would add a lot more uniqueness to the map. (And people on bnet wouldnt be able to download it so you would have to download it from a site) |

How about have a map for each country instead to have eaven more details like mountains and valley. Have it be a 3ps and use a advanced world editor so you could have it so you could go to the top of a high peak and look across the world and can I help you make skins so we can get it done quiker. Oh and you know how the fire pandaren that is going to be the hero doesn't play its death animations I have edited his mdl so it does. And we can have the shaman/geomancer class for the pandaren be the sorm and it has death and dissipate animations aslo along with earth. |

Sounds good SS3Goku. Another skinner for this project would be great. Any help for this would be great. |

I am almost done with the fel orc with breast plate skin! And I think we should have it be a 3ps or if possible make it so you can scroll down and go into a fps view! |

one thing that would be really cool is to add the abomination quest from wow. where you meet a hermit in the woods than you go kill various monsters and bring him back strange items and than he creates a abomination from the things you brought and unleashes it on your town and you have to stop it. just a thought. |

Great idea about seperate maps Yoda_24. I myself am making a WoW style MMORPG (I call it this because their will be the ability to save heros and I have over 20 maps planned (only done 4 though). Just a thought, your map so far rocks, but on all of mine I use Dialogues for Hero selection. That way you don't need an area layed aside with all the heros. My system works by: At the begining of the game is makes a dialogue for all plays where they can click a button to choose a species. Then they can choose a class by clicking a button, once they've chosen a class, the dialogue disappears and text appears on screen telling them about the class. They can send a Yes chat message or a No one. If they type Yes they get that hero. If they type no then the player is returned to the species selection dialogue. It's your map, but it's just a thought, and the alpha tester on my home network prefered it greatly to getting a wisp to walk up to a hero to choose it. ***If anyone wants to know about my MMORPG, then there is a thread about it. The basic storyline is set around Burning Legion worlds and races. |
