I dunno Norbo, most people don't like your map because its hard to master the economy, and factories take up too much land on your empire. I actually had somebody say "Omg this is so gay" aand left. And that was just in the beginning, where the screen is black! They were so retarded. But morale: You want complex, but easy help for newbs. |

Norbo i tryed to dl your map but it looks that you will change many things and it is not in dl anymore? well i will wait until u release the new version then.... |

Heh, CCrew, the next version will fix all of the land problems and HOPEFULLY stick the information (in a more concise, easier to understand format) into the faces of players. Also, the game is gonna be a lot simpler to learn (but not in the horribly simple .. bah... hard to explain). Also, the map is still downloadable.. However v3.0 (will never be released, under new name and whatnot.. Squashwell and I have not thought up a name) is not downloadable... just get 2.92. Maybe angelfire was having one of its hourly bandwidth outages. |

I've only recently started playing on BNet, and soon realized that most games simply don't tolerate quest instructions. When every second counts, you can barely afford to check the shops and classes of most AoS games, let alone their instructions screens. Asking about the rules prior to the game itself is pretty much pointless, as I'm dealing with people who can't even type a sentence, with actual nouns, adjectives and verbs to tie them all together. It's unfortunate when a well-made AoS map featuring detailed text descriptions has to be played with total ignorance because the authors didn't institute a game-start delay similar to the one in Norbo's war, and the players just picked a hero at random. I'm not illiterate, and I do want to know about the game before playing it, but most of the time, I'm forced to hurry. Ick, I say... |

I have been busy creating a game for the past while and will be testing in about a few weeks or so. I was wondering what sort of input anyone has on the complexity of it. Two Forces of 5 Players Forces consist of: 1 Bunny 4 Heroes (unique selection) The objective of the game is to kill the other team's bunny before your's dies. Each team has a bunny burrow where they can buy items for their heroes. The bunny although, does not have a hero, has everything else a normal servant (of it's appropriate race) would have. They build, upgrade, and create units as normal, just no heroes. I guess you could say this game is similar to DOTA in some ways but that wasn't what i intended. The loading screen tells bunnies and heroes how the game works and puts a lot of emphasis on not creeping with their bunny (i had problems with that in earlier beta stages). The map has several "large" creep camps, which respawn every minute (unless a building is built there). I did this since each team will start with 3 or 4 heroes. Any suggestions, comments, or ideas would be appreciated. |

I have made a football map that is real complex involving all the rules and regulations, drafting, and positioning before the play and all the idiots that joined didn't understand. So I think that what the average player is looking for is a extremlly simple map. Think about it, all the real popular maps simple like enfos, skibis and footman wars |

"Simple" is often just how well you break it down though. Off the top of my head, I think it'd be hard to implement drafting and positioning without something really cumbersome, like placing your guys then typing a text message or something. |
