You posted one of your pictures twice Capn_Sniffies. Further, the screens looks pretty fine ;) |

their too flat, and something about them makes them look very unnatural to me, the wild scenes look planned, |

The first one 1. Too flat, no sky, looks a bit empty to the right. 2. no sky once again, the same tiles all the time (bleh), VERY empty exept for the corns 3. An diffrent angle from the first one... 4. And an other diffrent angle from the first one... Not very good, sorry. :( |

Uh the map isnt done yet. That was just what was done, before I added trees and teraformed. The nearly finished pics are up now, and im trying to decide what sky to use. They are (in my opinion) much more natrual looking with less empty areas. And the reason for two screenshot in the same area was to try and get that camp fire/ area in. Check it out. I think there a big improvement over the old ones. Any suggestions what sky to use? And what do you expect in a field? lol feilds are plowed to be flat, and all there is are plants in rows. |

I don't think it's that bad! I like the idea with the grass! That makes the first screens look much better! But in the end it uses too much frames. But although nice one! Ok, you could use more the higher and lower buttons but I think the screens weren't all at their final state! In the sheep-screen you should set the fence nearer together! The In-da-house screens have a nice feeling with the black mask around it but the walls are too big! PS: sorry for my awesome english! |

Here is a shot of a forest I'm making. The forest is supposed to fill out the entire map (160x160), so it's a little hard to get fresh ideas. |

Yeah I thought that myself. I fixed it already. There is no sky because it's all fog. :bgrun: |

I like the way you're working with it already, but here're some ideas to mix it up a little bit: varying the size of the trees a little more, maybe throwing in a few more logs and stumps, and undergrowth - bushes and shrubs, grass if you can spare the doodad count. Wildlife will help too. |

Ya I only used that grass in specific areas because of the slowdown it would cause (even offline) For exaple I use it partially than fade it out in most areas that are large. If you mean height/hills ya im planning to do that and they arnt all finished. I wanted some advice from here first before i did more. Now that I think about the walls are too thick- but about the right height- ill work on it. Thanks for the coments/ suggestions! I still want an opinion on the sky though... |
