First I got a custom wood tile texture from the downloads section. Then I painted that texture on in a large area.

I made the walls by using the UI\Glues\MainMenu\MainMenu3D_Beta\MainMenu3D_Beta.mdl model. Its a flat vertical plane. I reskinned the texture for it into a wooden wall, and placed two of them to make the house look like it has walls.

Then I downloaded a custom bed doodad, reskinned the table doodad, and the Item Chest to make it into a wooden chest doodad.

I applied a black fade filter at about 20% transparency to make it look dark. ^_^

Yeah I guess I have a tendency to do that. Working with the Warcraft III engine for a year starts to do that too you ^_^

Cleaning up a few things. So I'll be posting a few screenshots, and maybe even some old unused things sometime within the next week or so.

The new site is way up on the agenda, so I'll get that cranked out as soon as I can.

Ok just deleted ALOT off my ftp. Alot of things won't be working (TTOA download links, etc...) My sig is gone too.

This means - If any TTOA related links or images don't work, please don't PM me or whatnot, as I am well aware of it. And I will have what I need uploaded back online within a short time.

Shooting for an end of the week release of the new site. (Friday night)

Not only will the new site feature tons of new information, a revamped layout, and a larger FAQ. It will feature new downloads, some new wallpapers, and fixed up versions of the old ones, and MANY new screenshots of skins/models as well.

I have to continue to refine the information sections, and type up some of it too.
The layout is 95% done, so its mostly the content that is still undergoing updates.

Hey guys, sorry to say, but the site will probably not be out until Saturday or Sunday. I still want to refine the information sections I'm posting.

I've been a bit tired out by school (first week after spring break is hard), so hopefully I'll have a bit more energy on weeknights like my former self. (I think another factor is that is been very cold this week. In the 30s-40s for the most part where as over spring break it was like 60-70 degrees. When I get cold I seem to want to just curl up into a ball under a blanket ^_^ )

Well folks besides getting a bit of R&R tonight. I also just completed a REALLY awesome wallpaper. It will be one of four featured on the new site when it is released (hopefully Sunday). In addition to that, Metropolis has been reading over all the history and other texts that I have typed up for the site to improve it and make it much more interesting to read. I will probably end up spending most of tommorow working on the content, and Sunday implementing it into the site. I may also try to find code for pop-out html menus, but if that would take too much time, I'll stick with what I've got. The site will be quite rich in content, and you folks will finally be able to see what I've been working on for so long. ^_^

Sorry for no site folks.

Once again I've shot out a dumb premature release date. I'm just gonna keep working on it and get it out whenever. Hopefully within the next week or so. I'll be doing other things for TTOA as well.

Another reason for no site is because I've been virus-killing. My dad got infected by a bitch of a virus called "werule". I've spent the past 5 hours of the night working on removing this shit, and it troubled me over the weekend as well. Hopefully its completely gone, and won't rear its bloody ugly head out again (I did afterall remove it from the registry). I also wiped out a few little bits of spyware here and there on my comp. So hopefully we're both good to go.

On a happier tone:

Mock1 has completed the Soldier of Dale skin. I'll post up a screenie of both versions (I made a normal soldier version that is slightly less royal looking) sometime soon (I've got alot of homework tonight, so I can't garantee I could get it done tonight).

Finally done with a school project. Got all the virus troubles on my Dads comp completely cleared up. My email & my Dads email hadn't been working for about a week or two now (couldn't send messages, but could recieve them). I called up our ISP and it ends up that they blocked us from sending email because of the viruses my Dad had on his comp. Now thats back up and online.

Only got another day of school this week and I get Friday off. Tommorow ought to be nice. No tests, or any kinda crap to deal with.

Anyway, I'm off to harf down some cereal and flop out on the couch for a while. Maybe if I have enough time when I get back, I'll fiddle with the Soldier of Dale skin a bit more.

Hmm lets see... not much to report today:

Had a bad headache... and I lazily didn't take any Ibu-Profen.

Got the soundtrack for Tyrian - an old overhead shooter game. (Really fun game back in its day)

Painted Eggs - Weee its Easter time. ^_^

Soldier of Dale Skin - Man every day I find some new suckularity of the wrapping on the footman model :P

Finished reviewing some revisions to one of the big parts of the history section of the new site and sent it to Metropolis to look over again.

And some Dawn of Fantasy stuff.

So yeah, today wasn't very productive for TTOA.
What have we learned?
1. Headaches kill kiddies. :\
2. Don't be so lazy as to not take something to get rid of the pain.
3. Iron_Ian is a lazy bum.
4. Iron_Ian needs a kick in the arse to get back to serious work on TTOA.

Nothing like a smartarse before bed update.

Today was fun, I went to visit my relatives. My cousin just recently built his 2.8 ghz computer and he was showing it to me today. We played NFS: Underground for quite a long time ^_^. Its a hella fun game, and whenever I get a new computer, I'll be playing it.

Man plenty of candy, and other sugar consumed today ^_^

Didn't get any work done on TTOA. I had to deal with another... I guess you could say 'trojan' problem today. Finally figured out how my Dad got the werule virus. I got something tonight (didn't really seem to cause any problems, but it installed a few .exe files on my computer that was running in the system processes). I'm gonna run a few scans tommorow to make sure its gone and not causing any probs.
I got this from when my sister was browsing around www.xanga.com. I actually have a site there :\ I'm not quite sure whether its their site causing the problem, certain users, or they have crap-nothing security.

Anyway, I have to go to school tommorow so I'm off to bed,

hey Ian, i've been wondering for awhile, is the chest in front of Archons bed in the latest TTOA a custom model? If not, how did you do it, if so can i badger it off you :D

Nope its actually not a custom model.

What I did was reskinned the Item Chest Model to look like a wooden chest. Then I made it a destructable doodad and used the trigger: "Animation - Play Destructable Animation" to make it play the different animations for opening/closing, etc...
Eventually alpengeist will reanimate it because of a little glitch with the animation - when it closes in plays the death animation, however in the death animation after closing it also shrinks down to nothing. I have a trigger freezing the animation, but its not exact enough and the chest shrinks a tiny bit if you look carefully. ^_^
