hmm Building a castle in a swamp.. ever seen monty python and the holy grail?

Ideas:
A tree castle(castle, fort etc on the top of a tree not one made of trees)
A volcano
A magical city(a city where magic is common or where everyone can use it)
A toxic wasteland
A place from a fairytale

one lone rocky island on the outskirts of the mealstrom

Some more suggestions:

-Dark, sinister castle.

-A monsters lair

-A demonic realm

Damn, all out of ideas! Everythings been said already!

Khazad-dum like brigde (the one where they are in the movie, when a part of it breaks off and aragorn jumps back to take frodo with him)

Caves (moria)

Tower of sauron

Enthouse (though without good discription near-to impossible for those that have only seen the movie, and not read the books)

Balin's tomb - like the one in the movie, WITH a second floor

The entwash

The cave's of helms deep

Or all of these look-a-like locations.

acctualy thats quite a good idea. only problem is you dont get dragons that are on the ground, except if you work for DvG, or get the old frost wurm model

Actually there is one very good model made by... *looks into credits of own map* Cookie... the dracolich... and you also have a very neat one done by ... no idea... just look at the dl section...

Docks?
A tunnel entrance, as in the actual entrance, not what's inside it (to a certain place, like a corrupted underground lair)?
A Fighting pit? (colisseum sorta thing)
Inside a lonely old man's house who lives in the middle of the woods?

The last one was kinda random, but could be interesting to do.
I've become interested in terraining all of a sudden. ^_^

I thought about it a little and came up with that I don't consider dragons as monsters they're so elegant if you would compare them to an ogre or minotaur.

Sorry, don't know if this has been said but:
How about a vast army of undead and demons about travel into another world to lay siege to it?

A frozen/crytilized cavern
A giant monster's gut (like you got eaten)
A nuclear power plant
A burning forest

Those sound nice.

The problems with that is that you can't use grass because grass did not exist then, and there are no dinosaur models as far as I know.
