They call propmoting a link to an affiliate of the site because EVERYONE KNOWS that SAMODS Is An affiliate "Against the rules". You know whats against the rules ABUSE OF POWER. Im not pointing any fingers, but its happening. WcWAREHOUSE was ARROUND LONGbefore WC3SEARCH as far as i can recall. Actually it was made because the 1st dload section was NEVER updated.

Vex, u cant complain about good work getting posted amonth later. The only thing that killed the old dloads section was that we had one admid on that, we needed like 5 or 6. BUt thats the same thing thats happening now, but now they are using them to reulate retarded post. Soo hmmm if i think about it. The solution to the current probem was the soultion to the origional problem. Hmmm interesting.

And how can u ban the chump for bashing the PEOPLE in the wc3search community who VILOATE the privliages, and get away with it.

Id like to see more admid activity in this thread other than banning people.

I wish we could have a poll that excludes all noobs. Like one that excludes people who havent been here for more than 3 months. Then mabe we wold get actual poll results.

Everone who knows me, knows I ban people almost never... there where around 4 people max I banned the last 2 years.... 2 of them today.

Posting very offensive texts and signatures about the download section affects me 2.
Things like Fucking wc3sear.ch is not the type of dialoges I'd like to have here.

Take Egg for example... he doesnt like the download section and tells that in normal words. I respect his opinion. If he'd flamed around throwing words not meant for ciivilized dialogs he'd be 1-week banned too.

Mock1 knew he wasnt allowed to heavily advertise for his Website on wc3campaigns. He got warned by several Admins already and every time he removed the Signature for a few weeks and then started over again.
The mistake Mock1 made was heavily Rioting against the download section to praise his own website in the hope people will visit it. With an attitude like this you cannt expect a site admin to accept this shameless advertising. Thats not the way to go.

I also did a lot of advertising for wc3sear.ch, but I did it not that obvious and not at the cost of other sites.
I went to other warcraft3 fansites and showed links of my Spells or Maps. By visiting my resources they automatically noticed that theres more to get and so they knew my site.
Mock1 has the same opportunity. He can post his Skin work in the skinning forum.
He can give Direct links to his skins so people visit the page and look at that skin. If he's lucky people like it and bookmark the site..

Beside also the thing Egg is trying to make is rather useless. He tries to get people to boykott the download page. What the people dont realise is they loose the best opportunity to spread their resources.
There are over 10'000 people visiting the website day by day and are very happy with it. There are constantly new features and enhancements made by requests of the community and thats a thing you dont have on most of the websites. Most websites dont care what the community wants

Why don't we just clean up wc3 search, link em to wc3c's skinning gallery and tell them to ask for feedback there before uploading skins, and get rid of the popups on war3search?

btw, why is it war3sear.ch? Thats wierd. Also, I don't think Mock should have been banned, his sig and avatar were way cool and SA mods is a very good and friendly site.

Really wc3sear.ch is really good, and I don't think it is going to be replaced in a while by an wc3c owned one, though if it would be better than wc3sear.ch's I agree.

Instead of trying to destroy it, help improving it.

Hey it was the chump who said it first me, mock, John drake and a few others agreed. Hey should be allowed to have that sig hes had it for like 2 years. Keep the temp ban but let him keep the sig.

10,000 visit the site 65% start flamming. Who caes about how many people visit it what happend to communitty. And how many new featues do u need the side pannel is awesome with the random icon thing and the top whatevers. U dont need anymore. Ur over doing it. Instead of making new features, refine the ones u have. Link the Screen shot thing its a real pain in the ass cause it dosent scroll and gets cut off. Take a chill pill, my thread is not boycoting w3sear.ch, Im against certain points of w3sear.ch true but Darky28 is fixing them gradually with removing popups and installing mods. My thread is an amateur attempt to help the community, and if people would upload more it wouldnt be needed( I would upload to w3sear.ch but I dont want to make another account Ill wait till my wc3c works there.)

My computer is completely clean of spyware and has been that way for over a year. I scan with 3 programs every 2 weeks and have a program that is specifically geared towards preventing spyware from ever installing should it get around my barriers.

Popups are appearing on the site (just that site) according to my pop up blocker. Could you confirm this?

Egg that is a huge mistake to not have anti virus programs. I know its hard to and you praboly say, "my comp works fine" but when I first ran a spy sweep on my comp I had over 1250 viruses on my comp! OVER 1250! After that I made sure that I always has an anti virus protector.

btw, I looked at my rep and I thought I had 3 for a sec!

what are u talkin abut i didnt say that. I have Nortons Antivius 2004 professional I use panda some times and Trojan killer if im suspecious of something. but havent used it in a year. Cant even remeber if thats the name. lol Plus I use AdAware 6 Pro.

I'm pretty sure it does have popups, or it's a huge fluke that only wc3sear.ch has popups and no other site I visit does.

I placed IE literally on no popups, no-cookies, high security level for the past 1+ year (go to IE, select high security to see how ridiculously safe you are...). That's even more restrictive and safe than what Firefox would give you. Stack that on top of all the protection software, and you'll be darn sure that I do have no spyware.

Oh, for those of you who want a little more protection, do th following.

1) Download Service Pack 2
2) Use AdAware 6
3) Use Spybot Search and Destroy
4) Use Spyware Blaster (best prevention tool)
5) Disable ActiveX controls in IE or use another browser
