The thing that I'm most disappointed about is stealing the ogre/goblin thing from Project ROR!, which I think I'm safe in assuming had the idea long before Blizzard.

Goblins ride those lumber machines already, and there's a big creature with a seat on his shoulders in the Art of Warcraft (in the goblin section, which also has the Tinker, this is before WC3 came out :) ), and with both goblins and ogres being neutral, I think it's just a coincedence...

OMG not the Blizz steal Stuff from ROR again...

How about the spell Volcano? If Blizz stole the idea from Project ROR then Blizz Stole Darky28's idea of Valcano and all the other who made it!

Yea, Blizzard didn't really steal the Volcano idea, as it's been in other games and stuff. But, if insistant of stealing idea, they stole from many mythologies, J.R.R. Tolkien, and other games. I went a little overboard there.
I have nothing against Blizzard except the stealing of ideas (they're one of the best gaming companies around), but what are the chances of one of the first WC3 mods (ROR!) coming up with Imps (demon-tainted goblins), and later have imps suddenly appear in WoW. And they come up with the Trickerster (an imp riding a large, dumb creature that I can't remember at the moment), almost as soon as WC3 is released, and *poof* Blizzard suddenly has the great idea of a goblin spellcaster riding a large, dumb ogre? Perhaps coincidence, but very doubtful.
And please at least use correct letters when shortening a word to a single letter. Y implies a question or an answer, not refering to a group of people.

Ok, time to clear something up.

The basis for ANY good game is to "steal" as you put it, from other games, mythologies, fairy tales and books. I call it finding inspiration from these ideas and twisting them to meet our own ends. Why would having a Goblin Alchemist make the Trickster seem unoriginal and make RoR not fun to play? Everyone is overreacting to blizzard "stealing" from RoR. If you want to take everything that has been made before in slightly different terms that blizzard have done, then you can say just about anything:

Trees
Grass
Sunken Ruins of a lost civilisation (god thats original!)
Naga
Humans
Orcs
Undead
Blighted Land
Forests
A continent where people thrive and has great farming
A continent which has a deep desert in the middle, but fans off to a really deep forest on the edges with jungles on islands.
The World Tree (Giant trees, WHOA, thats amazingly original that is!)
A planet (Draenor) getting destroyed because its race made a pact with the demons (this is, in effect why Draenor was destroyed)
Demons invading to take a strong power source (that, surprisingly, only exists on this one planet)
Giant "Gods" who shape worlds and have unimaginable power
Chimeras
Hippogryphs
Archers
Strange warrior women that are adept at ranged combat (seen it before, tho not with purple skin)

The list goes on, but these inspirations dont detract from the game, far from it, they ADD to the game. Blizzard have taken previous ideas and concepts, twisted them to fit their own needs (and in many cases improved them) and given them to us. As you can see from the list, the most original thing in WCIII is the Night Elves, and really, their an interesting combonation of Drow and Amazonians, with a few interesting touches. The only difference is i havnt seen them before in any other game.

1. I know other cames have had imps; still, imps as demon-corrupted goblins?
2. I can't understand what you're saying. Try using something called "grammar" To my best of knowledge, you're saying that it may have been/meant ot be in RoC. Nothing like it was in the beta or the alpha, so unless it was created and then dropped before much was even released (which seems unlikely that they would come up with that and then part of the ROR! team would come up with the exact same idea), that's out of the question.
3. I don't know which specific mythologies, but here's a few:
--Dragons, Minotaurs (Tauren), Harpies, Centaur, Giants, Chimaera, Unicorns, among many others

And Phoenix, I know it's standard to take things from mythology, books, other games, ect., but this seems to be bordering off directly copying from none other than their own fans :-/ In my mind that's unaccetible, at least not without some kind of credits.

Well then your a complete buffoon (not in person, in thinking) taking ideas and warping them to your own needs is a tried and true method. Its not "directly copying" as you put it, the two models actually have quite a fairly large difference. Its a small goblinesque dude riding some kind of ogre, and thats about where the similarities end.

But a smaller, smarter race using a larger brutish race as a means for transportation and defense is totally unheard of!

Yeah, i mean comon, who would have thought of using small smart guys riding big dumb guys? That is soooo original, like seriously.
