I updated it to 315 due to request. WE313 still worked, so just updated unit info. |

I'm pretty sure he uses Extrarius's protection program. He keeps a backup of the map so he can edit it, so the one on b.net is basically locked with no key. People lock maps because they don't want unofficial releases and/or stolen credit. |

Yeah People have done that to my maps. can you give me a link where to get the protector? or is it in the D/L? |

The only thing that would cause this error is a 3rd party modified worldedit.exe or should I say cracked worldedit.exe. If you do not have your original worldedit.exe, extract it from the war3.mpq. Before you ask, I won't fix this to work with whatever worldedit.exe you are using because I can't. |

Guest | bludragn, I appreciate the work you have done on this editor. It has helped me get a head start on creating maps for the Frozen Throne release. Two things I have noticed, which I am not sure what causes (it may just be the Beta version of Warcraft). When I play-test my maps, some Neutral creatures cause the map to full-out crash. Red Drakes, for example, when they are hit by an attack cause a crash. When a building with the "uprootable" ability is created that isn't an ancient protector or other NE building, the game crashes. Both are consistent problems (occur each time I test the map) and I have no idea why it would happen. |

I no longer work on this project, but most technical issues with it can be fixed by upgrading to win2k/xp. TFT retail will be out soon making this obsolete; you should probably hold off editing until then because there will be many new functions in the "advanced world editor" and also several things aren't included in TFT beta anyway. CHUNK, I'm not sure why it is crashing but I've experienced such problems with triggers causing the game to crash to desktop. |

No worries, bludragn. I actually found that if I just "reset the unit to default" and then change it back to more or less the same as it was, it runs without the crash. I am not sure if it was just something in the way the code got changed or what. (For example, Zepplin Unload in my uprootable building got changed to Amphibious Unload in some units, which is why I think they were having some problems.) I have since (somehow) managed to find the problems and work around them. Thanks again for the work. |
