I'd like to do this tutorial, but I have 3DS Max 6. The tutorial seems to be for 3DS Max 5 or something. (I think.) I ran into problems right away due to the obvious interface change between the two programs. I found the 'Run Script...' thing anways, but the .mse file didn't work at all. Like, i Open'd it, but absolutely nothing happened at all. Sooo.... yeah. Is there like a script i can run for 3DS Max 6? EDIT: Also, im having a terrible problem... i used to use WinMPQ with no probs. But now, when I extract something, .. it doesn't really extract. Anybody else have this problem? Also, i get an "Error code 5" if i use Ladix's MPQ thing. God dan, why can't something just WORk? u_u |

Your tutorial you posted doesn't make sense at all. I'm having SPECIFIC problems, however, with the copying of vertices. First, I'm supposed to copy JUST the Vertices 650 (not the Normals 650, or the TVertices 650, or anything else) and overwrite them onto the Vertices 650 of my Rexxar.mdl file. Then, I'm supposed to do something with the Flesh Golem's .mdl file? or what? the rest from there doesn't make ANY sense. at ALL. Also... It seems that with gmax, i can't use Dex's Export selected As MDX button. Has anyone else had this probleM? |

Guest | Thanks for tut .I'm noob in modeling, so I followed this and made my own mdx. I attached mammoth head to KOTO and tuskar head to its' rider,reskinned and made them animate. This is even working in WAR3VIEW, But this * ** ing Editor don't show it, or shows wrong stuff, or even Throw me back to Windows.What the ***? wht i did wrng? |

Guest | Well great tutorial, only problem is that when i try to export a model (EVERY MODEL) using KMK's MDX imp/exp script i get this errormessage: MAXScript Rollout Handler Exception --Unable to convert: undefined to type: Integer I'm using 3Dsmax 5.. Guest | In the tutorial it says that you should copy the Vertices 302 and so on. That isnt to hard but if i use a different model there are different Vertices numbers right? how do i know wich numbers i should copy? I am a beginner i know. o_O And as always, sorry if my english is bad. |
