Cinematic contest ends today!

You really need to release the results before i do something drastic. (i m not joking) I mean you already have the results figured out so why not release them. If this continues i will withdraw Encaliel from the contest and release it on my own.

yeah... and I'll... withdraw... my... *cries*...if only I had a cinematic to give... grr all that work for nothing. I might finish it one of these days but having no point for it isnt a big moral booster :nono:

DK, the people have spoken. Already we are all restless, and Zurg is threatening to withdraw his cinematic. Can you pelase hurry at least THIS up? I mean ,I know you are working on CotN or something, but ho0w hard is watching some cinimatics and judging them by some system can be possibly be? No offence meant, but this is plain annoying.

I agree that it takes DK long to get the results, but it is not completely his fault! Remember that I took a helluva time uploading (altho it was due to my FTP not working), so I'm to blame too!
And remember that DK is a busy person, he has a private life and other things to do!
But as far as I know, the cinematics have been judged and the only thing that has to be done is uploading the files to the server and making a site for it (cause DK told me he will be hosting them himself!), and posting the results!

I think (hope) it will be done soon, cause the contest has last long enough!

I'm sorry for you guys, I think yours are good too (I haven't seen them yet, downloading right now). It's sad that Nul's and Chicken's cin got f@cked up. Probably it could beat us all.

About the comments. Well, actually I knew most of the things you mentioned, I wasn't able to fix that because of the lack of time. Yeah, the scene in the village is really too long and boring. I didn't pay much attention to it cuz I was in a rush.
Sound effects? Kinda? The battles contain the battle sounds... Hmm, I must think about it. Maybe some advice from you?
Yeah, the camera spins alot. I just didn't know what to do, cuz leaving it standing somewhere would be boring. and any other movement (like jumping up and down) would look a bit wierd. lol
And I loughed like mad when I read about the treasure! Damn, I didn't think about it! Now I feel stupid. lol
And I'm surprised that you like the skins, cuz I made em just to make the heroes look a bit different, I wasn't trying to make super-quality skins (because of the lack of time, again), and there's very much recolor. The only skin that I really put some work on is the demon.

Well, to sum up everything I'll say that I am going to remake the cin, considering everything you said, and I'll try to fix all the shit, make some REAL costum skins, add some scenes and stuff that I wasn't able to add because of the time and so on. And ofcaurse I'll make the second one. The fact that I'm the winner encouraged me so much! lol

ps, why troll shaman? I'd prefer orcish. But anyway I like it!

Congrats to VoodooO you had a very good cinematic, looking forward to part 2.

i feel a rant coming-

I think the person who reviewed my cinematic was kinda biased against new types of cinematics. I know Encaliel had no battles or fighting etc. but you were missing the point of the story. The cinematic was about the feelings and arguments for and against an impending war. I did not show the battle at the end because that was not my focus. It kinda seems like you went into this with a closed mind and only watched it once. A cinematic without battles can be really good and that is what a story is for.;) 12/15 for story was just sad, i know there is some stuff i could have done better but i had different goals coming in to the cinematic than when i finished. Taking off like 3 points for the ending is just absurd. 14/20 for music is also really stupid. I know i didnt have alot of sound effects but still -3 for that? Oh and calling the ending "the worst ending on Earth" was just low.:cuss: i have seen worse endings. "A little note to tell you that cinematics without any battle scenes will lack action greatly and will become boring very quickly." Please this is a review, not your opinion on how non-battle cinematics suck. I feel you have no case here, it seems to me that you are not willing to give new things a chance. Another thing that you completely missed or omitted was the fact that i took the creative risk required to try something new. Sure making new cinematics is creative but i took it a step farther by opening up an new genre in wc3 cinematics. I do not see why you did not see this, just open your mind more and accept change.
o and btw, you should say who reviewed the cinematics so i know who to be mad at.
i know i should just accept the results and move on, so i will, and this will be my last direct complaint about the results. Once again good job to VoodooO.

And yeah, I also am inda angry about that. It's a new type of cinematics, and was not judged because of JUST that. Nuladio nals ofeels the same. After all, Encaliel does seem to be a pioneer cinematic, a cinematic of a genre never before made with Warcraft III.

Well if you really want to blame someone: it's Insaniteus and me.
