I haven't looked at the new patch yet. Since 1.17 is on the way, I might skip 1.16 unless there are critical problems.

Patch 1.17 is out now! Is there a way I can get UMSWE to work with it? ^_^

I released an 1.17 update today. It's a triggerfix only though. Any SLK limitations are WE default right now, but there will be a 1.17 version with all the features from the last version soon.

The new beta 835 is available for PC and MAC and basically added support for 1.17 triggers. Of course it still supports all previous UMSWE trigger enchancements. I also enchanced some of the new triggers to optimize your jass code, without changing functionality. It also incorporates most of Lord Vexorians changes (special thanks for the quickfix!), but I still have to come up with an implementation of TC_OBSOLETE (to move the people away from UMSWE functions, where Blizzard euivalents exist).
There is also some new functionality (very little), for example a Tauren Unit Classification option in the Trigger Editor.

I don't have a lot of time, but I'll continue the development of UMSWE. As for UMSWEU (as someone asked in some thread here), I can only say that it was silently here for a year or so, when PitzerMike and I started cooperating with our Advanced WE projects. As I previously stated, UMSWEU would be something like UMSWE and WEU in one package. There would be one flavour, which would be basically the UMSWE of today and another, which would be WEU, so there won't be many changes. PitzerMike said that we are working on it and yes, that's true.

Please post your comments about any weird occurrences in conjunction with the new beta. Thanks in advance.

Uhm ...

I've got a question:

What exactly makes UMSWE so special ?
Because i can't find a readme or a tutorial, and the changelog doesn't contain too much information about that. On your Website, there is nothing about it, and your Signature FAQ thread link is broken.

I did notice a few custom Events, Conditions and Actions ... Well but WE Unlimited got way more stuff ...

It adds a lot of stuff without increasing map size like weu (so it doesn't use any custom function like WeU)

So WEU is better if you don't care about map size ?

I'd say it differently. WEU is better when you need more functionality at all cost (mostly size). UMSWE was always intended to make use of what Blizzard provides. However, it's a significant improvement over normal WE.

It's a matter of personal preference which editor you use.

Today I released an update for the UMSWE beta to add support for 1.18. The new build 836 is available as PC and MAC edition. Go to the first port of this thread and fetch it right now!

If you encounter any weird occurences, feel free to report about them here. I'll try to fix bugs, if there are ones.

@Lord Vexorian:
Thanks again for the quickfix!
I put you on the UMSWE developer list ;)

I just uploaded a new build which fixes a little bug which was caused due to taking an outdated file by mistake. Other than that it's identical to 836.

I'll release a quick and dirty beta version of UMSWE today. It's main reason is full 1.20 compatibility. The old version was pretty much compatible anyways. There were minor changes in 1.20 though. Please report any bugs into this thread. I'm aiming for a new full release soon.

List of changes:
- 1.20 compatibility
- Added the lightning action "Move Lightning Effect (Advanced)" (MoveLightningEx)
- Added the unit action "Force Unit Animation by Index" (SetUnitAnimationByIndex)
- Added the lightning action "Add Lightning Effect (Advanced)" (AddLightningEx)

I need your opinion on some features of the full UMSWE release. Should it still include all those lists like "All models", "All icons" and the likes? I'm a bit lost on this one and like to know if you want to see these things in a full release.
