Modeling from Scratch with Milkshape

Well, you cant download 3dsmax (only a trial). You will have to buy it. All the other tools needed you can download them, the urls are given in the beggining of the modeling tutorial.

try the ones that are linked to this site, then you`l see that you cant dl them, i`ve checked the internet as well, dont work, and you can only install those tools to the directory of3dsmax so i dont know how youre supposed to use them in milkshape

I dont get it what do u use to make the box i mean what program do u use to make aLL THIS STUFF THE SKIN THE PYRIMID/MODELS PLZ help me :(

OK 1 question I dun think it's in the thread but, How come I can't get my model to animate? I've did the interval but when I open up another model (eg. acolyte) it has this minimum and maximum shit on it, could that be why my model cannot animate? and by all means wut do those numbers mean???

I also forgot to mention this, during warcraft III viewer, I tried to open up the animation I made, and it seems to crash, any1 getting that same problem?? it also shows my model in red! not in my skin color I made.. err..... fustrating.. I tried everything! oh well overall pretty good tutorial, I had sum troubles at some parts which were not explained very well, didn't bother looking a the rest of the thread, so I figured it out on my own but the animation part is dull! :\

I have gotten this far and ikm a lil frustrated cuz ive been getting errors and iv had to dl things from other sites to get them to work and BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH. i just wanna know what the notepad is cuz my head is gonna EXPLODEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE if all that work gos down the crapper.

First off hi, I'm new.

Secondly making the pyramid is easy just make a box click select and drag it across the top 4 vertices. ctrl n then ctrl w boom there's your thing.

the thing i dont get is the whole skining part, I have lithunwrap and when i open it and click on box 1 the triangles don't go away....Some1 plz give me a fast ez explantion on how to do it so it works????

For everyone who is having a problem with yobguls file converter: For some reason, the file converter needs the file you are converting to be in the wc directory or a subdirectory of it. For example, go to C: \ProgramFiles\WarcraftIII and create a new folder called My Models. Put the file you are converting into that folder. It should then work.

I followed the tutorial exactly and it works PERFECTLY. Except for the Animation!!! The animation just wont work in wc. You really need to address this

Now open YobGuls File Converter and convert "pyraball.mdx" to "pyraball.mdl". Then find "pyraball.mdl" and use it with notepad. There should be a place near the top that says...

I try to open my pyraball.mdx file but the program say <<Unknow File Format!>>
