Ah yes, I cannot devote full time to this project because I spend many hours at work or with my gf, and the rest I'm sleeping. Just a couple hours a day, but I think I'm progressing pretty fine.

I got the dragonball system figured out, kinda.

You can hold only 6 in your inventory. Upon picking up the last one, they all transmute into a single item, that symbolizes all 7. I'm still deciding on whether or not to make them droppable though. If not, you will have to hold up to 6 dragonballs at a time until you find the last of the set, and this means you won't be able to pick up any sensu beans.

I might, however, set dragonballs to be droppable, but only able to be picked up again by you. This could spawn a way to dupe them, however, and this might not be such a smart idea.

Hmmm.... How about the use of mules/stashes??? I know it doesn't fit the storyline of DBZ very well, but it is a pain to be only able to hold 6 items at a time. Alternatively, you could use a few hidden heros with no icons showing and use selection events (Hotkeys F1, F2, F3 etc) and those will replace your inventory with the inventory that the selected unit has... Eg. when you pick up an item, if it is dragon ball, it will go to unit (F2), if it is an equipped training gear type item, it will go to main guy (F1) if it is a potion/sensu bean item it will go to unit (F3) All other misc items would go to (F4).
Just an idea you could think about.

Once lacrossetitans gets back and gives me the updated kaioken animations, I might be able to release a test map for goku.

The map will include:

System I will be using to place Dragonballs on the map.
Dragonball system and summoning of shenron.
Goku's model and abilities.
Test enemies
Custom sounds
Custom Icons
Maybe more, depends on what people want to see in the test map.

Here's my current system for placing dragonballs:

        Map initialization
    Conditions
    Actions
        Set HiddenDballs = (Random real number between 1.00 and 100.00)
        If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
            If - Conditions
                HiddenDballs Equal to 1.00
            Then - Actions
                Item - Create One Star Dragonball at (Random point in (Playable map area))
            Else - Actions

The code will be done for each of the 7 dragonballs. This gives each ball a 1% chance to be placed randomly on the map, even if its out in the open. I may increase the chance to 5 or 10%, it depends on how things go. Right now I'm doing the models and skins for the dragonballs, and Andy should have the icons here for me shortly.

I'd rather stay along the lines of DBZ, but if worse comes to worse, I will develope some system to work things out.

My dragonball system is completed, summoning of shenron is finished, now all I have to do is find out why his skin isn't working in-game.

Right now I'm trying work find out how to work the camera a bit better.

I'll keep posting updates throughout the day and night, but its one of my friends birthdays and my gf is coming over too, so I don't know how much time I'll have to spend on the dragonball models.

Very, very cool will it be protected? I love dbz (BEST ANIME EVER) but i'm thinking to do a DBZ AOS and i could use those Models if u don't want them public can u e-mail them to me? PLS!?

And theres a Raditz model and not in the descr?

I'm not sure if all of the models will be public.
Actually, I could release a model or two with no animations :)

I would personally love to see a good DBZ AOS, so we'll just have to see what happens.

good job on the map.. i need to learn to model to make my map.. you should make it so everyone can die and get halos or something in that nature.. also going toadd fusion(both methods?)

i have an idea on the mule stash thing make a icon and a chest unit that has 6 inventory slots or whatever for items and an ability then make the icon of the item a dynocap (Capsule) which does fit in Dragonballz and make the ability to change back into capsule form therefor you now have the ability to hold more than 6 items

Ya, that idea could work. For the dragon balls, do the higher level dragon balls have a lower % to be dropped?? Such as 1 star has 40% and 7 star has 1%.
Just wondering, because it would be cool to have a rarity system.

I'm not sure about the rarity system. From GT, the lower level dragonballs were the ones that the stronger evil dragons came from. The 1 star ball created the strongest evil shenron. Therefore the 1 star will have 1% and the 7 star have 7%.

I'm still debating on this, a rarity system would only be good for trading of dragonballs, and I'm not sure if I'm going to allow trading.

I might double the chances. 1 star is 2% and 7 star is 14%

As for the backpack, I might just make a building resembling capsule corp, and you can store you items there. Dunno yet... anyone else have any ideas.

MysticSSJ5's idea is quite cool, it'd be awesome if when you press F2 (which has the capsule icon) then a capsule will appear and do that 'oh so funny explosion' and turn into some kind of storage system??

Also for the rarity, 1/2% is quite low, that means only 1/2 times in every 100 games will there be one on the map (estimated, there would be different amounts) you would have to trade with other players to assemble a full set. Also is there a way to battle each other? Also is there some sort of training facility such as the one Goku used when he was travelling to Namek and the one Vegeta used also?? I wonder how you would simulate gravity?? Slow movement and attack speed + fade filters would be the best option IMO.
