Guest | This map is the shiznit. I was so upset when it said to be continued. 10000/5 for everything. I loved the mountain area, it was wicked. This is the madest rpg i have played i cant imagine the work that you must have put into this, but it all payed of, this is a great campaign. But i have a question. I am working on an rpg map of my own at the moment and i was wondering if i would be able to use your battle system thing cause it was absoultely wicked, i would of course give full credit to you in the credits and loading screen. |

is this still being worked on? ... or is that it ... is the project dead? |

Hi, its me again after about one and a half year. Wow, warcraft III hasn't changed a bit. Only TDs, Aeons and stupid Mauls played on the battlenet ... I remember working on my own rpg and my ATB System ... The RPG was called Marduk's Descendants (Guess that doesn't say you anything ^^#). I see the forum has changed by that time ... Just a few good projects left and only some have been finished ... Guess everyone lost interest in warcraft III. Well there's at least one rpg left i know from the past. It's called hero RPG and now that i played the finished first chapter i can say: AWESOME WORK! I remember talking to you in these forums about the possibility of an ATB System and sharing our Ideas about it (Still have a testmap with your Way of Selecting targets on my Download folger of WC3 XD). After i played Hero RPG i re-recognized some scripts of my ATB testmap. ^_^ Good thing at least some of my ideas were used. Now that i think about it, i'm somehow sad about dropping Marduk's Descendants RPG because i simply didnt had enough time working on it. After all, you made it to debug every part of it. Although mine was more complicated (Multiplayer version of ATB) i'm a little bit envious ... Really - great work. This is the best RPG i ever played. It's so fun, the music is good and the battle system shows what is possible with the warcraft III engine. You showed every stupid Tower-Defence and Maul-Freak out there how a perfectionist works ... Just one thing: Will you keep on working on a second and maybe third chapter? This first chapter was more fun than some full-price games out there and I guess i talk for everyone here: WE WANT MORE! Bye ^^ |

The game is damn hell short! |

Right... So short.. I wonder how 1 person can do so little work in one year... He just made (and remade from start many times) a bunch of totally new systems for warcraft.. I'm sure anyone can do better. [SARCASM!!!!!!] You can't figure out how long it take to make cinematics and even worse when it come to testing and debuging a project this big. My intention with this project wasn't to make a whole story and a whole game, if so I would rather start my own studio and then produce my own game with my own engine, it (intention) was to create something new for warcraft and to develop my programming skill. And I can affirm that this mod helped me a lot in programming, not too much the language or the actual code but mainly all the step an "analyst programmer" (dunno how you call that job) must do before actualy coding. I'm happy to see that most of the people saw my point of view or at least appreciated the originality of the mod compared to the others. |

Sorry for asking such a wierd question, but what is umswe? :( By the way, I love this map! It reminds exactly like an RPG. Maybe I'm saying that becuase I'm an RPG fanatic... |

if I recall, its mean used map setting world editor.. its an extended version of the normal editor.. it adds some function that could only be done in jass (the programmation language of War3 based on C++). Once you use one of it special function, you cant open the map with the normal editor. |

Guest | Lyke omigosh!!!oneone No, seriously, this must be the best roleplaying game ever to grace WarCraft III TFT. I really enjoyed the difference in gameplay, and it was much better than how everything was in the original game. The terraining and cinematics were wonderful, and despite a few spelling and grammar errors were completely perfect. The ATB and battle system were the best things I've ever seen. There was something that attempted to use something like the turn-based system in a multiplayer FFIV map, but this far outdoes it. It had just delayed attacks to make it appear as though there is something turn-like. I really enjoyed the movement system and that it was all in cinematics, and I can imagine the time it takes to create a short roleplaying game like this. Lots of people don't get that it takes lots of time and work to create the smallest things. I'm really not that great with World Editor and all, but this is purely wonderful. So, you do not plan on continuing it? That's quite a shame. Oh, there was only one thing that annoyed me ever so slightly, and that was the battle music; it was great, but it got annoying when you heard it a million times. |
