Mock1 : Shadows are not computed. I don't know what you are talking about... If you turn the light off, the whole model becomes black... Wolverine : what are you talking about ??? |

He means the models for the campaign screens. Like the grunt in the menu, where you can select the missions of the RoC Orc campaign. When you load such a model, then W3V crashes. |

The models can be found in UI\Glues\SinglePlayer\. Check the subfolders of that directory in war3.mpq and war3x.mpq. |

By lights and shadow I mean like you the World Editor if you press "L" the shadows turn off. You should have that for the wc3viewer because the viewer creates shadows. Here are screenshots of the lighting difference from 1 and 2 WC3 Viewer Version 1.0 http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/a...&postid=247134 WC3 Viewer Version 2.0 http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/a...&postid=247377 |

A new version has been released : version 2.1b. Check it here : http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...476#post169476 The Warcraft 3 Viewer package comes with a new tool included : BLPconv. It is a standalone command-line tool that allows you to convert BLP to TGA, and TGA to BLP. See help.txt in the BLPconv.zip included in the package. You can find in the package a file named ReplaceableIDs.txt : you can edit this file to customize the textures associated with the replaceable IDs, such as the glow color, or the textures on trees or bridges (winter for instance). |

Ok, I have tried scrolling through the myriad of threads, but it was only brought up once, and it wasn't answered. My problem is... : I have extracted the acolyte blp, saved it as a tga, modified it, then turned it back into a blp. I would like to know how to put it back into the game. Someone told me to turn it into an mpq, but using the Wc3 Viewer, I don't see anything that resembles this. Perhaps I have to make the custom folder? I still don't see how I would get it into the game though... Srry to add to the extremely long list of complaints and ponderings! Thx! :foot: This is as far as I got. BTW, this blp is currently in my wc3 folder...Not in a sub-folder. Is that the problem? |

Put it in a sub folder of your War3 installation named "Textures" |
