I followed the tutorial exactly and it works PERFECTLY. Except for the Animation!!! The animation just wont work in wc. You really need to address this

Hope my comment helps

it doesn't need to be in the same folder, all you do is convert mdx to mdl, modify it with notepad, shut off yobgul, then run yobgul again, and switch from mdl to mdx, then back again and then open it and convert, it should work even without it in wc3 folder, I did it on document folder and it works

Save your pyramid ball combo. Make sure you dont export it, but save as. Now save it anywhere with any name. Now open LithUnwrap. Goto 'File > Model > Open' and open your model. There should be many triangles. Thats ok, so dont worry. Now on the right toolbar, press the + beside groups. the select box 01. All the triangles should disappear, and there should be a box with a "/" through it. Now right click on box 01 under groups, and press select. Now right click on the box to the left and press "Scale > Arbitrary...". Click on X0.5 and press the close button. now move your small square to the top right of the grid. Now to the same with sphere 01, but move it to the bottom right. Now save the file as'<name>.3ds'. Then goto 'File > UV Map > Save...' and save it as 'pyraball.bmp' ( you need to save it as this, or you cant use your skin. Make it "Color" And check off "fill" There, now you are done unwrapping.

for some resson it wont let me save as ".3ds" it keeps saying "cant determain file type. :(

It's all very nice having this tutorial but to be frank, it's practically indecipherable. I found problems everywhere and it wasn't helped by how the tutorial is difficult to read as it is.

I came to a stand still at this point:

3DS/OBJ) -> MDX Convertor". Now find you "<name>.3ds" file and put it in the first field. Then Goto a folder and save it as "pyraball.mdx"

Go to what folder? Save what as? Put what in the second field?

I downloaded the warcraft III file converter and couldn't get this to work either:

Now open YobGuls File Converter and convert "pyraball.mdx" to "pyraball.mdl".

When I tried to open the .mdx in it it said that the file type was unrecognisable [or something along those lines].

I suggest either the original creator makes a much clearer tutorial of this or someone who's mastered this makes one.
