we already have that system ![]() you'll have to reach certain level and then buy the spell from the trainers. Okay, so no skill tree? |

EDIT: Those interiors screenshots are nice... REALLY nice... is there any place in our wow that could need an interior map? Like a human castle in theramore or the temple of the moon in darnassus? |

interior - 'the inner side of a building' :P @Nas: about the skill tree, maybe you're right. maybe we could make 2-3 map of building interior from each main town. |

Guest | Ok, just two things: the loading time between each maps can be quite annoying, so if we are going to do interiors, let's make sure it's worth the wait. ;) Also, probably the camera settings will require some adjustment. Ps. The castle fence is ready; it's composed by four models: 1 wall, 1 corner, 1 gate and 1 tower. No custom textures, so the size is really low. Now it's up to the terrainers to combine them nicely :god_help_us: |

good :P about the loading time, I could reduce the triggers for interior-type map. About the camera; no problem. I've set the camera angle, distance, field of view of into variables. Just modify these variables' value in the map init ;) |

Guest | Oh, yeah. Two more spell suggestions: I think arcane missiles shouldn't be AOE. It should just be a ranged attack that fires multiple times. If you are wondering how I found the spells for mage and Paladin, I exported your spells and tried them in my own map. And arcane explosion should have the Wisps' detonate special effect (the arcane explosion in WoW looks more like the detonate ability). |

the best base spell for arcane missle is goblin's rocket ability, so I'd better leave it like that. For the arcane explosion, I was planning to use wisp's detonate effect, but well... I forgot (maybe) |

I'm alomoast done with 1000N , btw tony , in WoW in 1000N you go to the bottom using a elivator, or jumping from the cliff :P, but the cliff is 30 times larger than you, i crated a smaller cliff, but it can have cam problems?? |
| 04-28-2005, 11:31 AM | #1467 |
yeah, I know that elevator thing. hmm. maybe just ignore the cliff? 3 more tests to go :-o huff.. huff... anyway, about the wandering npcs, I'll limit them into 16, 8 for alliance, 8 for horde. Alliance: Human mage, Human/gnome(maybe) warlock, Dwarf paladin, Dwarf warrior NE Rogue, NE hunter, NE warrior, Unique-race priest Horde: Tauren warrior, Orc rogue, Troll shaman, Orc hunter UD warrior, UD warlock, UD rogue, Unique-race priest No druid, because: their morph skills will be a problem since druid's morphing skills are trigger-controlled skills. Limit them to 8 for each side, because: I just dont want to add more. 8 is enough. Each of them will have all the abilities of their class, except ultimate-type ability (button 3,2), depends on their level, *cough* ... your level, not their level. About the alliance warlock, which one do you think is better? human warlock or gnome warlock? |

Guest | Beantony: OK, I just thought the mage had wayyy too many AoE spells. You should fix that GNOMES!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need at least one gnome class wandering. You should have the enemy make random raids on main cities and you could run, teleport, hearth, or whatever to the city and the raid will still be going on (instead of walking to another map and the raid's over). Btw, are you going to use the idea I posted on TheHubb for the player organizing raids (posted it a while ago)? |
| 04-28-2005, 01:59 PM | #1469 |
that's why they were called mage ;) just kidding. Well, yeah, but they're not strong enough to kill enemies in one shot, and also, they have casting time, so you couldn't just go wild by using spells. |

Yeah but they still need more attack spells. Like Fireball, Frostbolt, Pyroblast, Flame strike, Blast wave, etc. Look at the suggestions I made for spells on the last page or two. |
