Question for the WEU:
When I want to use the WEU enhancer. I can't seem to use maps from a campaign...
this is a huge problem cuz I can't enhance my campaign with the enhancer, and I NEED those extra terrain tiles and advanced triggers!

As a side note, it'd be a nice edition if they could detect amount of XP gained...
or if they have it I haven't found it

ExtProtect(link in my sig) should work with most WEU maps now, and in the future it should work with the few that it currently can't handle.

Yes, OneWingedAngel: Simply extract the map, then edit it however you like and reimport it into your campaign. That's not hard.

Nope... it doesn't seem to work. That was first thing I tried, and it can't load it cuz it can't load somethingorother.bll

Hold on... how'd you extract the map? What I did was go to the campaign then save the map seperately from the campaign file...

Edit: NEvermind I found the problem! Somehow a file got lost from WEU... I reinstalled it and now it works! Sorry bout that

PitzerMike, your WEU additions to the normal editor have been really useful for my map. I'm wondering about one more thing, just curious if you tried it. You know how you use a custom UpgradeData.slk in the map, well I have 5 abilities with 80 levels each on my map, for the game that's as good as having 400 abilities and it would hurt the loading time a lot. Do you know if using imported AbilityData.slk as well with the 5 abilities that have 80 levels in it in there would help the loading time same way using UpgradeData.slk fixes the temporary freeze at the first instance the upgrade is used? I also have a problem with the hero save feature. I've seen replies saying it wont save above 140, and replies the code is too long. I do not think the code is too long, you just need to use the advanced triggers to modify the save feature to not include specific things like gold/wood/stats, and the hero level can be saved above 140, the problem with the cap on this, is it only saves exp up to 999,990. I have my max level at 500 with max exp at 15,000,000. I save the hero, everything works. I load the hero, and it only loads him at lvl 128 with 999,990 exp. So, if you could, please dramatically increase the experience save cap on the next version.

HexenLordX: I've already investigated and fixed this problem for the next version which is currently on the way. It will allow unlimited experience.

R3N3G4D3: You are right, it would reduce the loading time. Therefore we might create a slk-precompiler that compiles a new slk file from provided object-editor-data. I think somebody is already working on it but I'm not sure. But you can do it manually anyway.

My WEU has stopped working for some strange reason. When I run the WEU executable it just launches the vanilla editor. I tried reinstalling the thing and the same problem occured. Does anyone know why this might happen? I was thinking that maybe some file got accidentally made read-only but I've no idea what files WEU opens when it loads.

Ive been leaving the Use Advanced Triggers and Used Advanced Items boxes ticked when I edit my map with that tool and its been making my map size go up by 1mb every time I save, its at least 2 mb bigger then it should be, is there a way to make it go back down to normal?

Advaned triggers adds about ~238kb to your map. Advanced items adds the rest. Simple, uncheck the boxes in the w3 enhancer.

That's easy, simply open the map in the world editor and resave it there -> the size will go down again.

And no th15, you're wrong. Advanced triggers add 170k and items 5k (compressed size that is, as that is what counts)
