How do i use Save/Load hero functions? They keep messing up whenevr i save game and it says **** like some kind of trigger error and displays 2 errors on Load and Save trigger.

Umm.. everytime i use an advanced function it gives me errors like these:

Line 15610: Expected a Function Name

Same for loading/saving hero. but this time i tried to use voting and it gave me same error.. wtf how do i fix this.

Sheer_FALACY: I know the spell enhancer has a bug in the current version so it doesn't work, I already fixed that one. And the Triggname2funcname has a small bug where you'd need to replace spaces by underlines in the names. But it should compile.

TealD: Be so kind and read the readme as that's what it is supposed for.
I'll give you a little hint: It's got to do with blizzard.j.

Humm anyways, yes i fixed it, it wasnt in the readme, but i was an idiot and didnt import the J file thing. But explain the saving and loading the hero...
I have a test hero which i use for it, with the trigger:
Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing -save as An exact match
Advanced - Save (Random unit from (Units currently selected by Player 1 (Red))) for Player 1 (Red)
Unit - Remove Paladin 0001 <gen> from the game

Thats only for a test if the save/load works..
but apparently the load takes an entered chat string of a code and uses it.. so what do i put up for EVENT on load?... i can't figure that out..

would be something like A player types in a chat message containg "-load" as a substring and then call The Restore action with the rest of the string that comes after "-load". So you'll need to get the substring that comes after load or do it another way...

Still this doesn't make any sense as the multiplayer compatability will be provided with the next version and this will still take some time.

not yet, but soon

unfortunately I found out that custom blizzard.j doesn't load correctly in multiplayer after the release
That's why it wouldn't work now, but I'm able to fix that for the next version

Good news then, heh..... nway hurry I wanna use it :D I love the editor... all i need is an easy way to save/load heros on bnet.

Hero Save (that tool to save heros) is too complicated for me :bgrun: never got how to install it in the map and register the map and taht stuff...

Will any maps made with this version be able to take advantage of the new multiplayer compatibility of the next version? Or will a person have to make changed to the existing make for it to work? And if changes are needed, will your readme have instructions on how to make said changes?

Yay. thank god for a new version. Il start making some good terrain then.... hehehe :P How soon do you think it will be released? Or... after patch 1.13 u said? :( oh well i guess.. no way for ya to release just a quick fix to the loading/saving? Cause that wud make the editor godly.. :P

hmm, there could be a non-public alpha release before the patch because it will have to be tested anyway
This would include new changes to WE, lots of fixed bugs in the advanced triggers, optimized map sizes and the multiplayer compatability

if some of you want to help me with the testing please PM me (especially the multiplayer part will have to be tested thoroughly)

oh, and I also managed to reduce the size in megs to about the half
