This version here is outdated GET THE NEW ONE FOR 1.13 AND ABOVEHERE HERE YOU CAN DOWNLOAD WE UNLIMITED (1.12 VERSION) WE Unlimited 1.12 7 MB New with a fixed installer in english. FIRST UPDATE On the same page you'll find the link to the first update, that fixes a problem with blizzard and brilliance aura. Just unzip it into your WE Unlimited installation folder and run WE Update.exe. IMPORTANT NOTES This editor requires Frozen Throne. Don't use this editor to edit maps already created before with standard WE if you don't know which files you need to import into the map. Required Files will only be autmatically imported into your map when creating it with the WEU Enhancer. It is mainly supposed for creating advanced singleplayer maps. You will have to test the functions yourself on bnet if you want to use them in multilayer maps. Beginners might have problems using it. KNOWN ISSUES If you create a map that includes the advanced upgrades WE will need an enormous long time to open the player properties screen and the upgrade section in the object editor. To prevent this you can disable 'Show Advanced Items, Spells and Upgrades' under 'Editor Settings' if you want to open the player properties screen or edit upgrades. And when dealing with advanced upgrades you will have to take special care of the following hint because before saving your map for the last time you will have to switch back and activate 'Show Advanced Items, Spells and Upgrades' for the reason stated below. Saving maps is another issue. Before you can start a map created with the WEU Enhancer you need to resave it in WE one time first to be sure it works. And if you use advanced upgrades or advanced doodads make sure that these two options (Unlimited Doodad Scale and Show Advanced Items, Spells and Upgrades) are checked under 'Editor Settings' when you save your map for the last time before distributing it. Otherwise you will have wrong SLKs injected into your map. THE MAIN FEATURES -> Removed World Editor limits (doodad limits, unit limits, item limits ...) -> Up to 16 different tiles -> 90 degree cliffs using the raise/lower tool -> Extended map size limits and map height limits -> Extended limits for many values in the object editor and for gameplay constants -> Clearer arrangement of the fields in the object editor and for gameplay constants -> Enabled hidden units, doodads and spells for use in WE -> Build doodads on cliffs and on water -> Custom minimap preview pictures -> Custom loading screens and diashow loading screens -> Advanced melee AI and Commander included -> Enabled hidden trigger functions (all the UMSWE stuff and more) -> Added over 50 completely new trigger functions -> Access unit stats (damage, max life and mana, regeneration rates, move speed ...) via triggers -> Enabled move speed higher than 400 -> Included custom dynamic light sources -> Built in spell enhancer for trigger enhanced spells -> Lots of additional stuff such as a hex color table, info files and list files -> Enabled buff effect editing for the ability editor (blizzard, starfall ...) -> Included hero glow pack to add and remove hero glow with triggers -> Made tree models available for units -> Included local files patch -> Possibility to blend out all doodads in WE -> Included protector for map name, author name and map description -> Premade interface icon patterns (to make creating icons easier) -> Include up to five custom fade falters into your map -> Custom sky textures -> Automatic conversion of Bmp, Jpg and Tga images to Blp -> Fixed dos name bug when opening maps with a double click -> Enabled Blizzard debug mode -> Built in game cache engine (as substitute for the Blizzard reserved save and load actions) -> Added dummyspells and dummyitems to the object editor -> Added a morph unit trigger action -> Added wait for event actions -> Built in dialog engine -> Built in leaderboard engine -> Built in arrow key control and third person camera system -> Trigger action to save heros on multiplayer maps using a password -> Built in voting engine -> Built in multiple choice system -> Removed tileset limitations for creeps and doodads (can be deactivated) -> Removed melee/campaign categories from the unit editor (can be deactivated) -> Unlimited doodad scaling and rotation (can be deactivated) -> Made all tiles buildable (can be deactivated) -> Midi Ambient Sound Support (requires WEU Game Patch) -> Up to 10 different cliff tiles (requires WEU Game Patch) -> Enabled buff icon and buff tooltip editing for the ability editor (requires WEU Game Patch) WEU GAME PATCH The WEU Game Patch is a seperate Download as it is quite large (6 MB) and is only necessary for a few very advanced functions (as you can see in the features list). Who doesn't need those ultra advanced function will also not need the WEU Game Patch. All others can download it here. Please note that everyone who wants to play a map with such ultra advanced features will have to start the game with the WEU Game Patch to have everything work correctly. WEU Game Patch 6 MB NOTES FOR INSTALLATION 1. Uninstall any other editor that is based on local folders as the files in local folders will have bad influence on WE Unlimited. Just delete the folders Units\, UI\, Scripts\, Objects\, ReplaceableTextures\, Doodads\, Custom_V1\, TerrainArt\ and Sounds\ from your main Warcraft directory. This Editor is based on a self executable MPQ similar to UMSWE so you may still use UMSWE and the ordinary WE. 2. Patch Frozen Throne to the latest version 1.12. 3. Unzip the setup program into a temporary folder and start the setup. 4. Choose your Warcraft main directory as installation target. If you get errors concerning a dll this means you already have the required dll and you should be save to ignore the error. 5. Start the WEU Enhancer via the start menu or in explorer and have fun. 6. If you also downloaded the WEU Game Patch you should unzip it either into your Warcraft main directory or into the directory you installed WE Unlimited in (which should be the same). ATTENTION This editor has only been fully tested for singleplayer maps. Before you go and start to make a multiplayer map with it you should create a little test map before and test it online, just to be sure. |

Having trouble installing, would know the error if the installer wasn't in german, as I do not know german at all....confusing installation. EDIT: German, not spanish, whatever :P. |

Sweet mother of crap, that sounds awesome :D EDIT: ChaoticPeasant, that's GERMAN, not Spanish... but I am getting some sort of error message when I run setup.exe EDIT 2: Yeah, how about a little translation action? I get all sorts of errors on install, and I have no clue WTF is going on |

Wouldn't you be able to do all of this without the program? For those of you who can't dl this, it's actually more of a settings for WE. Most of this can be done manually, either in Game Constants, or changing stuff here and there. Som of it, however, is really useful to have, and can't be done easily. Personally, as of now I don't need this, but I very well might in the future. Thx a Bunch! :foot: p.s. Will this be available in scfreak's Important Threads? It would definitly be at home there... |

Guest | YES !!! Finaly , my wish come true , you can actually remove hero glow ! |
| 09-08-2003, 06:35 PM | #9 |
Cool! |
| 09-08-2003, 06:40 PM | #10 |
No IOP you can't. This action just removes hero glows previously added with the function Add Hero Glow. @ the others: If it's an error dealing with dlls you will be save to ignore it. It means you already have these dlls on your computer. Well could you please post the error message? // edit: @ Moderators: could you please move this to the Editing Tools forum? I accidently posted it here in the map development forum. |

Wow when I opened this thread, it was empty. I refreshed it now and millions of responses. I must congratulate you, however, how do I use the town portal system? It sais that you have to import advanced abilities and items... Edit: I also had some problems with installing, untill I figured out that the button I thought was for installing was for canceling the install. So the question that I answered yes on and that made the program quit in fact was a question wondering whether I wanted to quit the installer :ggani: Ps: I must also mention, that I was the first person to dl this program :D |

wow, great work :) this will help a lot of people! keep up the good work |

Yes, Arche, you must click the huge button showing some kind of PC to start installation :) And for the town portal system: If you create a new map it's really easy. Run the WEU Enhancer and in its create map dialog just check the checkbox that says 'Use advanced triggers'. This will import advanced Blizzard.j, ItemData.slk and some other stuff needed into your new map and the town portal system will work. (Just give the advanced item 'Book of town portal' or what it's called to one of your heros) All others should be Warned This has not much been tested for multiplayer maps. This editor is supposed to be the perfect advanced editor for creating singleplayer maps. For multiplayer maps I'd still rather use UMSWE. |
