Hmm .. I think it get here to the right forum.

I need help with ability's plz
When i deactivate the ability from the shade (treu sight) it is deactivated. So all good. But when i press "OK" and next time i look up the ability settings the ability is activated :/
And when i dont look up the settings and start the map than the ability is also activated. Is that a bug in my version/eition (or how ever it is named ^^) or does anyone couldnt ² deactivate the ability. Its importand i need it :/

n0p3 .. i use the normal world editor out of the englisch version. But when i deactivate the ability with triggers i works :D .. but with triggers i dont wanted to do this but when there is no other way ;)

Well, sortive solved. See, it seems to work for most people, but, there's a few it doesn't. I'm pretty sure it's the same reason it doesn't for everyone who can't get it to work tho.

See, I have to load a map, any map, before I can load a map with the custom .txt's, after that first load, the .txt's seem to get 'loaded' and the ability position changes take effect- it's like, Wc3 refuses to use the .txt's the first time, just after that it's fine and dandy. I can't figure out how to fix it *shrug*

But, this method works. Zauren, the guy who posted about it, says it works first time for him, every time.

The editor tends to "purge" a map when it saves it. To get the diesired effect, you have to save your map, then mpq2k the files into the map. And yes, you have to do this every time you save.

Actually the map editor doesn't purge your map it merely generates all files and creates a new MPQ and saves it as that. So it apears as if it lost everything but it really just overwrote it.

I've found a problem with the AbilityFunc.txt thing. Every map I load them into, if more then 4 people get into the game, it seems to desynch on battle.net and split into two different games. I need help testing this tho.

The map protect program doesn't cause it (Confirmed through testing)
and, as far as I can tell, the WE advance implament doesn't cause it either, I've narrowed it down to the addition of the AbilityFunc's, but, as of yet, have figured out what it is about the ability func's that causes the game to desynch.
Or, if for that matter, it IS the abilityfunc modifications, and not something it's just adding to.

lol Waeeder read what I said, I tested w/o the map protection, and it still dropped people, I think it's the AbilityFunc's. Your map protection gizmo is great.

This is a real hassle to get working... I guess I'll just replace the spells with ones that only fit into that slot... But it would be cool to give a mage 2 Ultimates.
