ChoBo: Yes you can enter :) FyreDaug: The map is 64x64, with a playable area of 52x52 Earth-Fury: A medium-level grid square is 128x128 units. bludragn: Don't give up when you're so close. I'm sure you'll snap onto it soon :P General reminder to everyone that as long as the map you submit follows all the guidelines, you can do whatever you want to it in the testing stages (that includes changing day/night cycle, buildspeed etc.) ~kharma |

Guest | According to the rules, we can create triggers (obviously) however no mention is made as to whether we may create new variables. We may optionally use the ones provided so it lends me to believe that you would have said we can create variables if you intended this. Please confirm. Cheers |

Variables are a part of triggering and the trigger editor. So yes, you can create as many variables as you want. ~kharma |

Guest | Thanks for the reply... I thought it might be part of the puzzle - to not use variables other than the preset ones. The whole thing can be done without any variables but the most efficient build/move sequencing requires several variables. I went for simplicity in the end rather than efficiency :) Cheers |

This is too easy. I thought it out while reading... The day and night thingy doesn't add ANYTHING to the difficutly. But I do like the idea and I will participate when I see that it is actually some kind of a challenge to me. Regards Dead-Inside |

I don't know what is more ridiculous, someone posting their solution to the forum, or the fact there have been 2 downloads :) emote_sweat |

I'm sorry for all of those who feel the ease of the competition demeans them or that no JASS submissions will be accepted, but I made the decision to try and encompass the optimum number of people. Obviously I can't satisfy all crowds, as you can see that there are people who think it's too easy and too hard. I mentioned this was a trial and that it would determine the relative difficulty of future competitions. The reason why I stated no JASS was because it gives people who know it a severe advantage. I'll consider giving two seperate objectives in the future with one for simple GUI and one for JASS, but this is not a full-time occupation. I intend it to be simply a fun little exercise to while away the time between now and the release of FT. I'm not criticising anyone's comments, I am taking them all in stride for future events (which depends on how many more submissions I receive within the next 48 hours). Thankyou for understanding. PS. I also removed the submission that was attached after I dled it :P *slaps Aiursrage2k around a bit with a large trout* ~kharma |
