Anyone get these things to actually work? I tried exporting some of the sample models (Brewmaster), then importing to WE, but the WE just shows "Could not load file: war3mapimported\testModel.mdl" |

God that really sucks, when I DLED it I realised I need 3dmaxstudio, which IMO really sucks, for me, I have no money to spare, and I don't know about you guys, but I actually feel like getting kazaa again and getting it cheesily, which is sad :( I really wanted these tools.. |

Support for gmax would be a complete waste. They would have to recode it from scratch, if its even possible to code it into gmax. |

It won't work in 3dsmax 6.0 because discreet switched to a different code base for it. It should work fine in 5.0 though. Its also possible to recompile the tools for 3dsmax 6.0, but blizzard would have to either do that or give us the source. |

development time and market play a big role in the price of the software. 3dsmax really is overpriced, but it does give a lot of bang for its buck. |

Are there anyway to IMPORT the .mdl/.mdx model into 3ds Max? The best thing I know for doing this is that script from KMK, though it still have some bugs.. |

Is there any way for others to use this to write better plugins for other 3d modelers? Probably not, but hey, I can hope ;) I don't know if it's encrypted or anything like that though (frankly I have no idea how these plugins even work ;)) I wish there was a Gmax version though :( |
