Hmm, might have been more clear about the advanced part; I want advanced GUI, at least for this issue. Later issues might feature JASS and such, but that issue would more or less be a "Trigger-issue", as a special addition. I'm intrested in both your maps, but I advice you not to upload them here. Upload them somewhere and give me a link, and I'll have a look and testplay it with my friend. (Someone who I trust my life to, so don't worry ;)). Either way, I need your maps to make a fair judgement on who to take, if any of you :). So just PM me a link or the map and I'll have a go at it and let you know :). (To: 35263526, Thanks mate. Ummm, I guess I forgot to say my map is single-player. Making a Multiplayer variant of it would take me another month. Is this alright with you? /if not I totally understand, don't feel bad about it. |

Oh, sorry for catching on slow. It doesn't matter if it's multiplayer or singleplayer, I just assumed it was. I need the map as fast as possible :). |

Could you further define your definition of "advanced" triggers. I just finished a map but I don't think any of the triggers in it are all that advanced. Nor does it have all that many triggers. Probably the most "advanced" trigger in the map is one that sets the next index of an array variable to an APC unit when it is creates and creates another unit (the gun of the APC) and sets it to another array variable with a matching index then makes the "gun" move with the APC every .1 seconds for every APC that is still alive. I don't think that's all that advanced but someone might... |

It might qualify, if you send it to me I can have a look. I can't really judge, nor make a clear defenition like this. It does sound like advanced GUI (I mean fairly, enough at least). If you don't want to attach your map here (You most probably don't) upload it somewhere and give me the link in a PM - Or, zip it with a password and PM me the pass. That should do it. :). This isn't an advertising thread. Gandalf, I got the map, safe and sound. However, I am not looking for that. It's average triggers and there's no originality. (I did like the 4 minute or w/e song, it rocked :D) For this issue, I think I'll go with a tips&trix guide (Which I have already done). It's a good start off for the trigger section when I think about it. BUT KEEP IN MIND, I am still accepting maps. I would like to feature one in the next issue, but I need something that fits. So keep posting here, I'll respond as long as I am intrested in having a map (And the creators) featured. Regards Dead-Inside |

I've acctually had more advanced triggers earlier in my campaign but they became useless when patches came. OK - I still got the timed Mind Control spell. I also made a 3 level metamorph based spell that used triggers because of 1.10 but now I think it can be done normally. Then there was the Darkness Sacrifice Ring item which sacrificed a target unit in exchange for a Baelrog but now it can be done with modifying polymorph. If 'advanced' means less functions and yet an excellent effect then you can't say that about BQ. Although everything is working as I wanted (or at least it will in the 1.00 version) the the way I make triggers could acctually scare you :) Some triggers must be done with 1000 functions in GUI which could have been done with 5 in Jass. The most advanced trigger I've made acctually was kinda the one for Kharma's trigger competition where I made a trig that read a value of a number step by step - like 12546 first outputted '1' then '2' and so on. I'll check out if I have anything that you might find advanced in my triggers (I haven't looked into the BQ triggers for a month now). Martinez |

I thank you for the invitation to flame you. The magazine is a, well, it seems shortlived, project started by some people at WC3C. The magazine is supposed to feature WC3 issues, review mods, talk about important stuff regarding modding and the WC3 community as a whole. Also take up contest events, and well, anything else regarding WC3 I guess. The mag has had two past numbers published, and no, I haven't read any of them. But, I am a part of the new one.
