Think you got a hardcore map, with good triggers?

Well, as a newly hired writer for the Warcraft3 Magazine, I'm thinking about featuring a trigger-map (Meaning advanced triggers). If anyone would want to show their map off, and come in the magazine, then please post your map here (It has to be a finished one). I'm mostly looking for game-maps now, and they should be fun to play. I have no intrest in how popular it is, as long as it's extremly fun. Sometimes maps just needs to be discovered.

So, that said, if you'd like to apply for "Featured trigger-map", please reply here with the map.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I'm in charge of triggers basically (Within the magazine).

DT4:A it'll soon be updated but the current version is very impressive nonetheless.

It's an Engine that is at 100%. Right now I'm only working at continued accessiblity. The link to dl it is the repository.

Okay, I'll have a look... From what I understand it'd be something for a "Trigger issue" of the mag, meaning it'll be extra fat on the triggerpart. Not being this issue.

Edit: That map will be about 4-5 pages long, so, that will definently not be in this issue. But I'm utterly impressed. You're still one of my idols ;).

So... Noone wants to be featured?

I dont know if there is any advanced map that is truely compleat out there, I mean there is almost always something that goes wrong or some small detail that tuns out wrong.

anyway I'd like to show you my triggers in Kingdom purge 1.7 beta but the problem is that I (or we, me and airMJ) dont want to release the unprotected ver in public.

the 1.7 ver will soon be compleated. I am more or less done with everything there is just some small ajusting with some spells and triggers left to do and some beta testing, the map is playable in its current state but there are a few smal bugs regarding my new gate system, the multiboard "kills" statistic flips in some rounds and there is one incompleat hero for each team (2 out of 28).

Are you intrested in viewing and testing Kingdom Purge 1.7 beta? I mite be able to make the map unsaveable but viewable in WE...

Actually my code only runs on 4 triggers and 3 database triggers (i could combine these to one)...(oh and enough functions to make people weap).
Anyway if nobody else submits anything i'll be more then happy to be interviewed on it as well.

Yes, it'd probably be needed to be open-source (For me), so I can have a look inside the map. I think I only have place for one screenshot, or maybe more if I slize them and cut, etc. But I'm thinking one screenshot slot on the page I'm planning this for.

I guess I'd be intrested in what you have HyperNox, but is your map intresting enough? Tell me more :) I need to base an opinion on something, even before I get the map ;).

And hey weaaddar, I'll be happy to interview you in an upcoming issue. I think I'll talk to Proudclod about it, see what I can do. So, I'll keep your interview in mind, and also the map in question, along with any other maps you might want to talk about :).

I was however thinking of something simple, and I don't want to feature myself (Thinking about my "Stock system"). Hmm, right now I'm not even sure on exactly how to do this, it is, after all, the first time I'm a part of the Wc3c mag. And even more so the first time I'm writing anything like this.

Everything said, anyone else feel like submitting their map?

If I may make a suggestion, why dont you accept unfinished maps, for thare are few advanced triggered finished maps.

That's preciely the point. For this issue I'd like to feature something that's complete, AND includes advanced triggers.

Well I'm guessing I got one page free then, because noone seems to be up for this.

Hey I have a map: The World of Middle Earth. It's new and not popular yet. I have a ton of triggers, and they're good. However, this map has been a huge evolutionary process. For instance, I have a bunch of triggers that convert heroes when they pick up the One Ring. Many of them are imports from a totally different version I started a year ago. All the computers I've used for editing are really slow (for a map as big as mine) so I haven't had the time to edit everything to the way I want it. (it takes 7-10 minutes to load the map, 10-20 seconds to place 1 unit) Nevertheless, I think this map has some pretty impressive features so I thought I'd give a shot at telling you about it.

Here they are:
Unlike other Middle Earth maps, in this one anyone can use the One Ring. Interactivity has always been my goal. Heroes get converted to level 13, get some special effects, and a bunch of units. If Sauron obtains it he becomes a totally new and powerful unit. Depending on who the holding hero is for the good side, long use of the Ring will eventually convert them into a ringwraith, or (in the case of galadriel, elrond, and gandalf) into a dark lord\queen. If Sauron gets the ring, good players have the option of sailing overseas to pick up Orome, an ancient Valar hunter (to keep the game somewhat even, and prolong battles). The ring can also be destroyed if the bearer can sneak onto Mt. Doom.

That's the main idea of the map, here are some other special features:
Siege towers use an ability to convert to a "way gate" when they attach near a wall. Elrond and Galadriel's rings regrow trees. Aragorn can go to a certain area in the background and call upon the dead oathbreakers to fulfill their oaths and have peace. A cavalry and mumakil charge ability that works with some triggers. The charging unit kills ranged attackers\peons on first impact, takes away around 250hp on light units, and 100 otherwise. The charge status is taken away after first impact. Type "turncoat" if you've easily destroyed your enemies and want to challenge the rest of the players. Then there is the whole victory conditions thing. I had to take out all the melee trigger stuff because it didn't work right with what I was doing. Many of the players depend on "trade" to receive gold income. The Mirkwood elves trade wine with the Rivermen (as in the Hobbit). Rohan trades horses with gondor (mount them to make knights). Eriador (or all the men, elves, and hobbits to the far west) uses a combination of beer trade (from Bree), farmers (who carry produce to marketplaces), and caravans which go off to other players. Any of these can be intercepted by the enemy for a hefty sum.

The map is finished, but of course I'm thinking of changes\new things I could do even now...

Before I attach my file though, if you even want it of course, I sort of have a question: I've put hundreds of hours into this so I don't want other people just ripping off everything I've done without giving me credit...is there anyway you could assure me that this won't happen?

I think you can trust Dead-Inside. Of course, you can't know for sure (this being an internet forum), but from what I've seen, he seems like a pretty alright guy.

My map, titled Underworld will be done soon. Actually I have no idea of how you define advanced and not so advanced. If you mean by advanced making new functions and writing JASS stuff then count me out. Elseway I'll see what I can do to get it ready as quick as possible.
