Well if you'd read the books you'd know that nothing worthy of game making happens after Sauron is vanquished. If you absolutely positively have to make a post-ROTK scenario/campaign, make it about the armies that went into Mordor to clean up the last of Sauron's filth, or the armies that went off after the Haradrim/Easterlings/Southrons, or perhaps you could do the Scouring of the Shire although I really think that part should be left to someone a little more experienced since it wouldn't be about battles so much. But whatever you do DON'T make up some stupid story about how Aragorn's eldest son ends up corrupted by Sauron's mace - it's an insult to Tolkien's work and a B-grade plot that no serious WC3 player is going to bother playing. And if you do decide that you definitely absolutely have to act on this idea, at the very least learn to write properly. I'm so sick of people desecrating subjects such as this with bad spelling and grammar... |

So you think that instead of thinking for himself, he should only use what a dead guy wrote? That's funny, because in the Skins forum, they say using other people's work will not help you in any way and only produces crap. And besides, most of the people on bnet are MORONS, so if it is as wretched as you claim, they'll love it. |

let me guess, you didnt read the books? |

Gung-ho, you seem to have misunderstood my reasons for saying "use something already in the book". For one thing, not many people are capable of writing a storyline to match Tolkien's work, and to write an inferior storyline and call it an addition to some of Tolkiens work is desecration and a insult to Tolkien -who is, as you said, dead. Now I'm not one of those people who thinks of the dead as some sort of gods, but is it really neccesary to go insulting a dead man who can't reply? |

Not many? You mean impossible! Anyway, I had a spare five minutes; so I whipped up this apology letter to Super_Peon's Parents- Dear Parents of Super_Peon, I'm so sorry you were forced to bear this creature, under penalty of your own good will. You raised him the best you could, and I'm sorry to say your efforts were in vain. You have created a shadow that was cast upon the realm of Earth and is still plaguing the minds of all whom he comes in contact with. I ask that you forgive us poor souls of Earth, and free us from the bane of which you constructed. At Your Mercy, `sides __________________________________ and with that note... `s |

Now now sides, there's no need to make it personal... |

i agree w/ the plan being bad and all, but sides, u didn't have to say that man.... :( |
| 02-04-2004, 12:52 AM | #26 |
that was cold.... What if i said "sides, you can't even begin to make an RPG as good as Everquest! it is a stupid idea, and anyone who is obsessed with it would agree that it's futile to try to remake this great game into WarCraft. your parents blow at raising children." |

sides i have one question. are u an only child? and i live with my grand parents |

I don't even know where to start with this thread. We have one side that's trying to make a campaign and another side that is full of fanatics. Everyone needs to calm down. Either help or don't post. Here's my next major issue with this thread. Quote:
That was a great attempt to look witty, but you really hacked up the English language in the process. Comma splices make such a great impression. Sides, if I see you post again like this, you may not have the privilege to post in this forum again. |

Ugh, I better step out of this, but before I do I just want to say that, although I'd rather he didn't carry out this project, he is entitled to do as he wants - without any hurtful or sarcastic comments from poor wits such as sides. There's nothing worse than a crappy comedian, especially on a forum. |
