after the first ink layer, i erase my pencil, anmd then i go make the pretty ink layers. Then i scan it with photoshop in greyscale, and then adjust brightness/contrast to higher levels. |

Great coloring:D One thing though, if ur gonna color them this way u have to make background darker |

Carl: what do u mean by 'the texture thing'? i never use textures.. Butt: its not done yet, i dont think i'll lighten it up, i like the dark, but i will add some highlights to it. and besides, when its all done and i dont like it i can always change the opicity of the shadow layer (another great plus for this shadowing technique) Mou: yes i will make a darker background. If you look in the lands of anchanor thread, youw ill see that the orc village in that game is ebil, with blight and undead buildings... thats why i discided to make em really dark and the eyes black. not to be followed... |

do you mind if i try to color the image? im relatively slow, but i think i do descent work (for a complete noob to the whole computer art scene!). Right now ive only done the face of the big'un, excluding the eyes and the teeth, tell me what you think, and also, if you dont want me coloring just tell me and i will delete the image. THX :D (I know the mustache is a little dark, but orcs have to have dark hair right? And i wanted to try going at it so that the final image would be black lineless... i know it departs from the cartooniness of the image, but im just experimenting/gaining experiance here 8)) ) |

its fine if you color it. it's fun to see my own work in a completely diffrent fashion from what i am doing myself. I cant really give comments right now, 2 early stage. only that i think its a shame you went over my lines  check my gallery for some new stuffs :D |

the end result will have shading, proportions and shapes all the same as your pic. I have it in two layers, your pic in the backround and im coloring on another. Because of this, i can make the top layer transparant which allows me to see your lines and shade accordingly :D have faith :D |
