DaishiOfDeath: Read my previous posts, it does work but at random times. I'm using XP 2600 Professional with a Swedish install and it does do the job well except the random crashes =)

I'll be at a friends house on the weekend (who has XP), I'll do what I can to debug on his machine, and try to find out what's making it crash... Thanks for the patience..

DaishiOfDeath: Hey, I think I found something.

When I type something that is longer than 8 letters in the "convert to" box (the mdx one), the program crashes and gives an error.

Maybe could have something to do with the old dos shit with only 8 letters.. I don't know, you figure! =P

DaishiOfDeath: Hey.. I have encountered another problem, and this time it seems pretty static. When I'm trying to convert one of my models it just stops functioning.

Then, when I click on it, it gets blank (white) and only the frame around it is visible. Then the harddrive.. sounds like it's gonna burst or something =P and then "Program is not responding" and I have to kill it.

That's it, and it won't work by changing the name this time =)

I'm looking forward to a some kind of fix soon, that's a great tool you have there!

Some info.

Models that worked were 8 total, none over 203 polygons counted. The one that didn't work had 379 polys.

All of these models had UVW map modifiers, scale modifiers and were all editable meshes =P

Uhm.. well, I think that's all.. Now I'm gonna test the same thing but on the other computer with win98.. wish me good luck ;)

That was weird... I was able to convert it right, but world edit crashes when I try to use it.

Anyone tried exporting .3ds models with Milkshape3D and used them for the converter?

DaishiOfDeath: Those .3ds files are exactly the same as the ones from 3d studio max so that shouldn't matter at all.

Ha, that what I thought about the .obj format, which btw, I found out that I have to parse the file to get it to work with 3ds max's version (i.e. pain in ***). It worked without error on the XP computer that I tried it on, so maybe you guys are converting it wrong...?
