Korn rulaz ^^

but i usely listen to Linkin Park, Trust Company, Namie Amuro (a korean girl who sings stuff and i find its kidna techno style), MEtallica, Evanescence, Rooney, Blink182, Three Days Grace, sum japanese or korean stuff (Inuyasha got me into this :p)

When i listen to rock and stuff it makes me inspired but the kinda music doesnt really affect what im goin for... more the way i draw it lol ( rock = me shaking my head, tapping my feet, chanting a bit, techno = me tranced... and all emotional) when i listen to Namie Amuro - Come (the only tune i have of her that i like and listen over and over. I seem to imagine sad romantic scenes but my skillz are so puny i cant put them to reality :(

Rammstein is cool! Disturbed, Godsmack, Pink Floyd, Bjork! woooooooooot!!!

i dunt think theres any BAD music genre (maybe country ^^)
dark metal wud make me draw bloody scenes... or sumthing twisted :p

when im drawing and listening to music im really deep inside my thoughts and all... its sumthing I like about being an artist... we have a kinda inner world all to our own. A sort of state of mind, ionno maybe our version of nirvana? naww....

gosh now i feel like drawing! ^^ nice topic leppy

Hm...tough question. I say I do. But then normally I have music going 24/7 anyday, so it's gotten to a point where it's more like 'background music'....not realy registering in my mind at all...o.o...

But my music tastes? Ranges from Evan to Linkin, and....hmm...random J-pop and...a bit of chinese....j-pop consists mostly of anime openings and endings and what not. Er...yeah and I have a batch of classicial too...yeah...

I forgot to add Tool. When I am angry and listen to hard rock, I usualy draw quick twisted drawings. I also enjoy Linkin Park and Blink 182 but I havent listened to it too much lately. But KoRn is my favorite band and my favorite stuff to listen to while im making drawings. And Eminem is also pretty good for making skethes. But Tool has the coolest videos and that is something that can inspire you to make some freaky drawings. I might just make one and post it in my gallery...

[edit] Can anyone sudgest any good classic music?

Yay! My favs are probably Korn, Disturbed, Perfect Circle, and Tool. System of a Down is up there too, as is Evanescence.

I also listen to a bit of game music (Xenogears is always good, as is Chrono Cross, Legend of Dragoon, some FF8 - 10, etc), and also some anime music, though if it's too poppy or sounds like it's sung by a 10 year old I usually avoid it.

Thrash, death, and all those entirely-too-heavy things aren't really my bag, so to speak. =x Either is rap, hip-hop, or most J-pop. Classical I find more conducive when sculpting or writing than doing 2D art.

I totaly forgot Disturbed. And coincidentaly I heard of A Perfect Circle yesterday when a video came up on Much Loud. Seems okay, but it is a style ive already heard alot about, and I dont like it all that much. Tool has the videos, System of a Down has the lyrics and KoRn has the sound. Theres my opinion. :gsmile:

id suggest Bach since i play it and its very creative stuff... i prefer Bach above all... BACH OWNZ ALL (all= other classical composers ^^ )

No way! Perfect Circle has such a beautiful sound... almost whimsical, kind of forlorn, and often has very charged lyrics. Not to mention Maynard's voice. *titter* I think the style is common, but the sound of APC is attractively unique.

People judge death metal too harshly. You don't have to worship satan to enjoy it and it has a level of complexity that normal rock, even heavy metal, doesn't have, as well as some other weird things thrown in there like opera-like stuff and erie chords and sound effect. Well, I like it.:gsmile:

Sometimes I listen to Pink Floyd though.
